Sardar Beant Singh State University is an institution situated in Gurdaspur, Punjab, which includes various undergraduate and postgraduate programs in arts, Science, Commerce, Computer Application, Business Administration, and other fields. The conditions for admission differ depending on the departments in concern. For B.A courses there is an eligibility criteria that the candidate should have passed 12th in any stream with minimum 45% marks. B.Sc. for post-graduate diploma in Computer Science it demands 12th Science pursuing with Physics, Chemistry, Maths/Biology with 50% marks. The admission criteria for B.Com are 50% in 12th Commerce stream. We accept any stream in XII with mathematics as one of the subjects and with minimum 50% aggregate. The qualifying examination for admission are P.SET, CBSE/ICSE or its equivalent examination of any state in Punjab.

In Botany, Zoology, Chemistry and M.Com.Academic qualification in the form of Masters in Computer Applications, Masters in Business Administration and more. It is common that the examination of these UG and PG programs take place in May to July months of the year. It is advised to apply for academic year 2024 before May-June 2023 as the application process might open in these months. Applicants who wish to apply for the programs need to complete the online application form provided on the University website. The admission process for undergraduate courses is merit based on the mark obtained in the qualifying examination but restricted by the eligibility criteria and the number of seats available.
