Sharnbasva University is a private university established in the city of Gulbarga in the state of Karnataka. It was founded in the year 2017 by The Sharnbasveshwar Vidya Vardhak Sangha Act 2017 by the Government of Karnataka. The university has been accredited by the University Grant Commission (UGC). Sharnbasva University has NAAC accreditation grade ‘B’. According to the NIRF 2023 ranking for universities, Sharnbasva University is placed in the range of 151-200 among all the universities in India. 

There are undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs offered in faculties of engineering, business management, pharmacy, education, arts and sciences, law, physiotherapy and allied health sciences. Some of the most sought programs are BTech, MBA, MCA, BPharma, MPharma, MA, MSc, BEd, LLB, BA and BBA.

This means that placements are provided to students who are in their last and penultimate year of their respective courses. Over 90 companies have come for campus recruitment in 2023 and some of them include TCS, WIPRO, Capgemini, Infosys, HCL and Accenture. Some of the immediate employers for the management graduates are ICICI, HDFC and Axis Bank. The maximum salary package given to the students was up to 18 LPA and the median salary package was of 4-5 LPA. The placement record for computer science and IT courses has been more than 80 percent.
