Smt. Ratnaram Damodar Thackersey Women’s University SNDT, Mumbai provides several Under Graduate and Post Graduate programs in the faculties of Arts, Science, Commerce, Education, Fine Arts & Home Science. The eligibility criteria differs with the course and specialisation of the programme offered by the university. For admission to BA, BCom, and BSc programs, students are required to complete their 12th exams with the minimum marks of aggregate percentage of 40 to 45% from a recognized board. Admission to HSC, CBSE, ICSE boards are accepted. For BEd course, Graduation is mandatory with minimum 50% marks as the minimum eligibility.
SNDT Mumbai, the popular women’s university has released the examination schedule and admission calendar of the different UG/ PG courses for the 2024 academic session. The courses involve BA in History, Sociology, English, B.Sc in Chemistry, Physics, Botany, Zoology, B.Com in Accounting & Finance, Banking & Insurance, M.Sc in Food Science, Nutrition, MA in Economics, Education, English Literature and many more with specializations and certifications. Admission tests will begin From the first week of May 2024 onwards. The application shall be opened from the third week of April 2024 through the university portal.
Apply Online Application:
SNDT official website www.sndt.ac.in and click at the Admission tab. Choose the course you wish to pursue and complete the online application form as guided on the website. Submitting scanned copies of the required documents and the application fees should be paid online and then the application form must be submitted.
For Offline Application:
kindly pick physical copies of the admission application forms at the university’s administrative office. Provide personal and academic information along with documents which are compulsory to be uploaded while filling the form. Once you have filled in all the details in the application form, attach the registration fees and submit it to the administrative office before the deadline that is given. Application forms are also given in certain banks that have been authorized to handle such transactions.
SNDT Women’s University now offers several Under Graduation courses in various fields of Arts, Science, Commerce, Education etc. The admission criteria differ with the department – For BA courses such as Economics, Psychology, English, Sociology etc, the minimum passing marks in 12th standard exams is 45% for the General Category. Accepted examinations are high school certificate, central board of secondary education, Indian certificate of secondary examination. Minimum 45% in PCB/PCM group in HSC, CBSE, ICSE is required if you are looking to get admission in BSc programs such as Botany, Zoology, Chemistry. For BCom program, it is compulsory to pass 12th Commerce stream with 45% marks in HSC, CBSE, ICSE.
SNDT Mumbai offers more than 20 UG Courses and Streams for admission in 2024 include BA in Economics, Psychology, English, Sociology, BSc in Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Mathematics, BCom in Accounting & Finance, Banking & Insurance, BBA, BCA, Bachelor of Mass Media, BSc IT, Bachelor of Library Science, BEd, Bachelor of Home Science, BFSc, Bachelor of Design. The entrance tests are scheduled for the first week in June 2023 for all courses while the admission forms will be available in May 2023. Using a university portal, one registers, submits documents, if required to write an entrance test, and wait for the merit list to be announced and then attend the counseling session for the provisional admission.
Documents Required for Admission in SNDT Mumbai for Different Courses:
1. University website can be accessed by clicking on the link that says ‘admission’ on the official website of SNDT Women’s University at http://sndt.ac.in.
2. Choose wanted B.Sc course such as Microbiology, Biotechnology etc.
3. Complete the online application form by inputting your personal and academic information
4. Upload the other documents such as photo, signature, and certificates.
5. Pay application fees online
6. Go ahead, fill the form, and even take a photocopy for the sake of it.
1. This may involve finding out things like the academic requirements, examination results or other standardized tests.
2. Please submit before the due date either online or by submitting the printed version together with the required documents.
3. Take entrance exam, if any exists
4. Go to the interview round if selected for the same
5. If the merit list has been published on the website then check it immediately.
6. Admission should be through paying a fee if the candidate is selected.
