It is a private university located in Rajasthan and was established in year 2008 under the sponsorship of the J.K. Cement group. This university is recognized by the Government of India and has got the approval of the University Grants Commission (UGC). It is NAAC accredited with Grade A, and according to the recently released NIRF Rankings 2023, SPSU has placed itself in the 101-150 band among Indian Universities.
The university teaches over 300 courses across ten different schools and institutes in various fields and specializations. SPSU offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs from engineering and technology management and commerce, architecture, fashion, physiotherapy, and many other fields. University of the year examination timetable along with UET, PET along with other national level tests are planned between February and May of the year 2024 for the next academic year 2024-25. Courses offered are B.Tech, M.B.A, M.C.A, and B.C.A The admission process is registration, qualifying examination, group discussion, and interviews. Scholarships are also awarded.

Some of the leading companies that offer employment opportunities in this field include IBM, Capgemini, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, HDFC Bank, and ICICI Bank. The average salary offered for the students is over Rs 4 lakhs to Rs 7 lakhs per annum The highest salary offered to the students is Rs 37 lakhs per annum. The industrial exposure being provided at the SPSU is further evidenced by the fact that more than 85% of the students have been placed in different organizations in the last 3 years. 1. Bachelor's Programs: 10+2 passed or equivalent examination conducted by a recognized central/State Board including the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination and National Institute of Open Schooling with minimum 50% in aggregate. Certain programs may have other subject requirements in addition to those mentioned here.
2. Master's Programs: Must possess a bachelor’s degree in relevant field with minimum 50% marks in aggregate. A few Programs could also have extra qualifications that one has to meet in order to be enrolled in the program.
3. MBA: Any university degree is mandatory but preference will be given to those who are having a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Minimum 50% aggregate marks required is actually necessary to meet the criteria. As for the entrance requirements, there may be an entrance test administered to students before they are admitted into a school.
4. Ph.D: This post requires Master’s degree in the concerned subject mentioned and the candidate must have minimum 55% combined marks. Written examination in the form of entrance test and interview was carried out in the process of admission.
5. Diploma Programs: Minimum qualification for admission is 10+2 pass or any other equivalent examination. Minimum aggregate percentage of marks may differs from program to program.
6. Lateral Entry Programs: They can directly get admitted to second year of B.Tech program after completing the diploma course. Eligibility criteria applies.
