The Sri Siddhartha University is among the private coupled university situated in Tumkur, Karnataka State. It has been accredited by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and it received ‘A’ Grade in the NAAC accreditation in the year 2022 and was set up in 2008. The NIRF Ranking of the university places it in the ranking of 101-150 universities in India for the year 2023. The university is set on a 100 acre campus and has programs at various levels in many fields of study including engineering, medicine, business management, pharmacy, education and nursing. 

The various programs that the university has to offer are in the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. This has been made possible through various programs offered through its faculties such as sciences, engineering, biomedicine, commerce and management including MBBS, BTech, MTech, BBA, MBA, BCom, BSc Nursing, MD, MS, MPharm & PhD. These programs have their semester examinations in most cases in two sessions, where one is in the October- November and the other is in the March- April. The university starts accepting applications for the next year’s intake from December of the previous year to July of the ongoing year through both, online portal, and entrance tests. It also includes the qualification of marks in academics, the entrance test and the interview.

The placement statistics of Sri Siddhartha University, like other universities, have been very encouraging in the recent years. The campus has many reputed companies visiting for placement of the students such as Infosys, HCL, Biocon, Apollo Hospital etc. The maximum placement rate received by the college is about 80% of the total students who appeared for placement every academic year. The last yearly package was 32 LPA offered to the students in the year 2022 and the average salary offered was 6 LPA. Sample positions which may be advertised for include software developer, data scientist, business analyst, clinical researcher and process executive positions among others. Sri Siddhartha University , Karnataka Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)

1. Applicants who wish to pursue undergraduate programs must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks, and 45% for SC/ST applicants. Degree-specific subject requirements apply.  

2. For postgraduate programs, the candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for BC/ SC/ ST/ Physically Challenged candidates). Actually, sometimes the entrance exams might be needed for some specific programs.

3. Candidates who want to do Ph.D. and integrated programs should have their master degree with at least 55% marks in the relevant specialization. A research proposal and an interview are also done.

4. For all programs, the age limit is restricted up to 21 years for Undergraduate programs and there is no age limit for Masters/Postgraduate programs. Rest and sleeping offered according to protocols with the university.  

5. As per the norms of the Government of India, those candidates belonging to reserved category Seat (SC/ST/OBC) and physically challenged applicants are given some relaxations.

6. The candidates also have to satisfy all the eligibility norms and terms that are laid down by the university and those required for the program.
