Sri Venkateswara Vedic University is a state university of Andhra Pradesh which is situated in Tirupati and it offer only Vedic stream. Started in 2006, it has got the UGC recognition and has been accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ grade. According to the NIRF rankings of the year 2023, the university has been ranked 75th against the total universities present in India. The university currently teaches diploma, degree and post graduate courses, which include the Vedic scriptures, Sanskrit literature, Hindu sacred texts, philosophy, culture and practices.
Over the Faculties, the university is involved in teaching of courses such as Veda adhyayan, Dharma Shastra, Samskrita Sahitya, Darshana, Agama Sastra among others at the Diploma, Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD levels. Counseling is another method of entrance after passing through the state or national level examinations. The criteria of who is eligible for a given program also differs based on the program offered.

Sri Venkateswara Vedic University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. Diploma has minimum age requirement of 16 years while undergraduate and postgraduate programs must be 18 and 20 respectively on the 1st of July, the year of admission.
2. For diploma programs, 10+2 examination pass is mandatory, while for undergraduate programs, 12th examination pass with certain minimum percentage marks as per the category is mandatory.
3. Bachelor degree relevant to the proposed postgraduate program with minimum percentage as may be stipulated by the university or category offered.
4. The requirement of reservation implemented for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PH category as per the government prescribed rules.
5. Some form of entrance exam qualification may be necessary for admission into some programs, then a counseling exercise for admission.
6. Various documents like character certificate and migration certificate needed for admission of the students those who are coming from other boards/ universities.
