There is a large number of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in engineering, management, commerce, science, education and pharmacy streams are offered at Srinivas University Mangalore. The eligibility conditions also differs with the departments in question. The admission requirement for prospective students to the B.Tech programs such as computer engineering, information technology, electrical and electronics engineering and the like, is successful passing of the 10+2 exams in Physics, Chemistry, and mathematics subjects each with a minimum aggregate score of fifty percent. Lateral entry is provided for diploma holders where they can join the second year of the program. Under this admission process, examinations such as KCET, COMEDK, JEE Main are accepted.
MBA requires minimum 50% in graduation pass percentage required for MBA. The KMAT, CMAT, CAT and other examinations are also considered for the admission purposes. The cut-off percentage in 10+2 to get BCom degree is 50%. BEd refers to graduation with at least 50%. The criteria for BPharm admission is, the candidate must have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Maths and secured minimum 50% marks. For MCom, the candidates should have passed BCom degree with 50% of marks and have to qualify the KMET/CMAT exam. BA demands minimum 10+2 standard passing certificates from any stream with minimum 50% percentage in aggregate. MA should have passed BA examination with at least 50% marks taken in all four semesters.

1. The entrance examination conducted by the Suresh Gyan Vihar University known as SUAT Entrance Exam – SUAT Score acts as the main criterion of admission.
2. Pass in 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry or Biology as subjects – Candidates must have passed 10+2 examinations as prescribed by the University with group combinations of Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry or Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
3. Previous Academic Record – The grades obtained in the examinations held in 10th, 11th and 12th standards are also factored in while granting admission.
4. Personal Interview: Candidates selected for the final will then be interviewed and might be asked to write an essay in order to be hired.
5. Extra Curricular Activities – Student’s co-curricular activities such as sports, games, art, and social service may also be considered favourably.
6. Remedial - Seats are reserved for the candidates as per the government norms depending on caste such as SC, ST, OBC, EWS, etc.

2. Go to the ‘Admissions’ link present on the IIT Guwahati home page and then click on ‘B.Tech Admissions’.
3. Choose the admission notification, and read it as to its eligibility criteria, or any dates that would be essential to note.
4. In the events given in the notification when the applications are open, click on the application link.
5. Register on the web site and complete all the necessary fields in the registration form
6. Digitally upload photograph and signature scans, along with class 10 and 12 mark sheets if specified
7. Complete the payment of the application fee online, it is relatively low for the general category, about ?1000.
8. Pay the required fee for the NITK Surathkal B.Tech application and take the printout/copy of the acknowledgement.
9. Refer back to the status section frequently and fulfill any additional application process if an individual is offered the position.
10. Approach the Admission Committee at NITK Surathkal on the admission date assigned for document submission and finalization of the seat.
- It has been judged based on the ranks of JEE Main exam where the admissions are decided as per the ranks obtained. To get admission in this institute, first, the students have to write the JEE Main and pass with the desired cut off.
- JEE Main ranks are used to fill 85% of the All India Seats through the All India merit list. Out of the total 85% seats, 85% of seats are filled by Karnataka students, while the remaining 15% seats are reserved for the Karnataka domicile candidates.
- For the 85% All India seats, the ranks of the candidates in the JEE Main examination are considered to be the deciding factor. The general observation is that if one gets a higher rank, then they are more likely to get their branch/program of their choice.
- For the 15% of the total seats for the students belonging to Karnataka state quota, a separate merit list is prepared based solely on the ranks secured in JEE Main by the Kannada state students. When it comes to the distribution of the available seats, this is done based on the merit list of the respective states.
- In addition to JEE Main ranks, candidate also need to meet the institute’s qualifying criteria in terms of pass standard and combinations of subjects which are allowed.
- Some seats are also reserved for certain categories as per government norms like for the OB/SC/ST categories, children of ex-service men etc. The above requirements may be waived little for these reserved category.

5. The applicant should also note that after submission of the application, the completed form can be downloaded and printed for further use.
6. If selected, come for a counseling session as arranged for the shortlisted candidates. It is advised to take along the original documents for identification and validation purposes.
7. Contribute towards the counseling process, which include verification of documents along with choice of fillings, allotment of seats, etc.
8. After being given a seat, there are other procedures required to be fulfilled within a specified time through paying for the fees and providing other documents.
9. Go to the mentioned department on the report date and finalize all the procedure related to enrollment.
