SRM University is a private university in India which is known to have a good ranking. It has couple of campuses in Tamil Nadu and in Delhi NCR region. SRM University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)

1. Minimum marks for Under graduate programs need to be passed 10+2 examination in Science/Commerce/Humanities with minimum 60% marks.  

2. For Master’s programs, relevant subject area Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 50-60% in the Bachelor’s degree level is essential.

3. First and foremost, the entrance exam scores such as JEE Main, SAT  will be mandatory for undergraduate engineering and technology programs.  

4. For the PhD courses minimum eligibility is a Master’s degree in the relevant subject along with the qualification in NET/SET/GATE.

5. Coverage of work experience for some professional courses like MBA. Desirable: at least 2- 3 years of work experience required.

6. All students’ cumulative and prior academic performance, entrance examinations, and interviews performed for screening suitability of the candidates for all programs.

SRM University Placements 2024

SRM University has a high employment rate for each of its programs. Microsoft, Amazon, Dell, IBM, and Accenture, Cognizant, Infosys, etc are some of the top recruiters who often come to the campus for recruiting students. The maximum salary was provided by Microsoft which reached Rs 43.6 lakh per annum during the placement for the year 2021. Hence the average salary offer differs with the branch - the highest was Rs 6.5 lakh per annum CSE followed by ECE at Rs 5.2 lakh, Mechanical at Rs 4.8 lakh and finally the civil engineering graduates at Rs 4.3 lakh in the latest placements 2021. In total, over 6000 recruiters offered jobs to students with 80% of the students being placed across all branches, which reaffirms the industry relevance and superior academic curriculum at SRM.
