St. Joseph University Dimapur as part of its doctoral degree offerings provide PhD programmes under various departments which encompass Engineering, Management, Science, Arts and Humanities and many more. The conditions of the eligibility are, nevertheless, slightly different depending on the particular PhD programme. For PhD in Engineering, candidates must have passed Master of Engineering or its equivalent examination securing at least 55% marks and also must produce valid GATE score. Candidates who want to get Management PhD must have a Master’s degree in Management with 60% marks and a good score in CAT/MAT/GMAT is required. Minimum 60% at postgraduate level is compulsory in addition to the CSIR-NET/ GATE qualification in the Science department. For PhD in Humanities & Social Sciences, one should have passed master’s degree with minimum 55% marks and have qualified UGC-NET/SLET.
