St.Joseph University Dimapur provides various Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes in faculties of science, commerce, arts, law, education etc. So the eligibility differs from different departments. The minimum qualification for B.Sc programs in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, the candidate must have secured 50% marks in their class 12th PCM subjects. For B.Com, candidate must passed in class 12th in any stream and should have secured minimum 45% of marks. Economics, English, Education have similar eligibility criteria, passing 12th with a minimum score in the related subject. Such exams are CBSE, ISC, State boards etc For few programs, students can apply through the National level tests which include NEET, CLAT, CUET. These are some of the programs offered at the University, such as BBA, BCA, BA/LLB, B.ED, MBA, MCA, MA Economics, M.Sc. Chemistry among others.

The undergraduate programmes that are offered at the St. Joseph University Dimapur include arts, social sciences, science, commerce, computer applications and more. The above set of rules is somewhat different within each department. For BA programs like Economics, English, Education etc The candidate should have passed class 12th in any stream to be eligible to apply for any of the courses with a minimum of 50% aggregate from a recognized board. Admission to class XI can be taken based on previous years’ marks of CBSE, ISC, State Boards etc. If one is applying for BSc programs such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, then the candidate has to have passed the Class 12 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and English with a minimum of 60% marks in PCM. For BCom, BBA, BCA courses, the candidate should have passed 12th class in any stream with minimum 60% marks in aggregate. Even NEET and JEE Mains scores for students in medical and engineering-related programs are also incorporated in the admission process.
UG programs, the University provides several programs across different fields. This includes BA in Economics, English, Education and Political Science. BSc in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany and Zoology. BCom in Accounting & Finance and Business Administration.
St. Joseph University Dimapur as part of its doctoral degree offerings provide PhD programmes under various departments which encompass Engineering, Management, Science, Arts and Humanities and many more. The conditions of the eligibility are, nevertheless, slightly different depending on the particular PhD programme. For PhD in Engineering, candidates must have passed Master of Engineering or its equivalent examination securing at least 55% marks and also must produce valid GATE score. Candidates who want to get Management PhD must have a Master’s degree in Management with 60% marks and a good score in CAT/MAT/GMAT is required. Minimum 60% at postgraduate level is compulsory in addition to the CSIR-NET/ GATE qualification in the Science department. For PhD in Humanities & Social Sciences, one should have passed master’s degree with minimum 55% marks and have qualified UGC-NET/SLET. The English department allows the candidate to submit the photocopy of the UGC-NET, SET, PET, or any other equivalent exam clearance.
