Tamil Nadu Physical Education and Sports University (TNPESU), Chennai is one which offers a number of courses in Physical Education, Sports Sciences, Sports Coaching, Sports Management and other related fields of study. For BPEd, candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with fifty percent marks (five percent marks benefit to the reserved category). For BSC in sports sciences programmes such as Nutrition & Dietetics and Sports Biomechanics one needs 10+2 pass in science stream with relevant subjects. TNPESU-CET, TANCET, NEET for admission to B.Arch., M.Arch., M.B.A., M.C.A., M.E, M.Tech., PG Degree and PG Diploma courses respectively.
It is a NAAC accredited University that provides education at the Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctorate level. The streams are P.E., coaching, physical education, sports science, sports physiotherapy and management. Some of the renowned programmes are BPEd, BSc, MPEd, MPhil, and PhD. This involves the registration and the application where a person can apply online. Those who meet the eligibility requirements are called for counselling and admission process is done based on the seat available.

5. Apply the application fee through credit card/debit card/Internet banking or using payment gateway.
6. Save the application and take a print out of the final application form and other documents.

1. Qualification – The candidate must have a Master’s degree in any subject from a recognized university with at least 55% marks.
2. Acquire the application form – This can be either downloaded from the website or collected from the university’s information centers.
3. This examination which is also called the written test takes place in June/July. Conducts tests that assess the research skills, knowledge in a specific subject and general knowledge, language skills.
4. Interview – Shortlisted candidates for the positions to be interviewed by the departmental committee in August respectively.
5. Placement - The departments place the candidates based on their performance in written test and interview by specializations and available tutors.
6. Admission-After the documents are authenticated, the candidates join the institution by paying the cost incurred. Attend the induction program and start work under an approved supervisor.
