The University of Kashmir in Srinagar has various courses in undergraduate and postgraduate level in the field of arts, science, social sciences, education, law, management, etc. The process of admission depends on the particular department of the University. For the BA/BSc/BCom programs minimum requirement is Class 12th pass with aggregate of 50% of marks from a recognized board. Candidates should have passed 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics Subjects with 55% for taking admission in BTech. MA/MSc course is open to all candidates with a bachelor’s degree in the relevant stream with a minimum aggregate of 50%. For admission, in MTech, candidates must have a BTech / BE degree with at least 60% of marks. The University required a post graduate degree in the pertaining field for MPhil and PhD admissions with minimum qualification tests as CSIR-NET/GATE/SLET. The LLB program admisis graduate of any stream with a minimum of 50% aggregate in graduation.

The students are required to register, complete the application form and attach documents, and make payments of the Application fees through net banking using their debit card or credit card.

The University of Kashmir located in Srinagar offers several under graduate programs in various faculties. The conditions for entrance differ from department to department. For B.A/BSc./BCom Honours with subjects like English, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Commerce and so on, the applicants must have passed 12th standard with minimum 50% overall marks. Comes under management quota and also accepts entrance exams as CUCET. For the B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering, candidates need to pass their Class 12th exams with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and should have at least 60% marks. JEE Main scores are accepted Students must have completed at least 10+2 or an equivalent qualification. BSc Nursing has 55% eligibility in PCB group in 12th standard, and the candidates need to clear the JKBOPEE CET. Candidates have to complete their Bachelor of Arts along with Bachelor of Laws, and should have secured minimum 45% marks in any discipline. CLAT scores are considered.
UG Programs spanning Science, Arts, Commerce, Law and Computer Applications are some of the courses offered at the University. These include UG programmes like BTech, BE, MBBS, BDS, BSc Nursing, BA in Honours/Programme in subject areas such as English, Economics, History etc.
The University of Kashmir in Srinagar has the PhD programs offered in all the departments of the faculty. Since the PhD is offered under the departments, the requirements may also differ based on the department offering the program. To appear for a PhD in Management Studies, candidates have to be pass in Master of Business Administration or Master of Commerce with a minimum of 55% marks. This test can be taken through UGC NET, KURET, SLET, any other entrance examination for research or as per the norms of state government. As per the new norms for appearing in PhD in Education, the candidates have to possess Master’s degree in Education with minimum of 55% marks. Candidates who passed any of the accepted exams include UGC NET, JRF, or KURET. I want to pursue Clinical Psychology PhD for which I have completed Master’s degree in Psychology/Applied Psychology/Clinical Psychology with at least 55% marks and have qualifications in UGC NET or State Level Eligibility Test.
