The University of Technology is one of the leading Universities which is located in the city of Jaipur in the Rajasthan state. The usual flow is that the admission process starts in January each year while examinations are held between April and July. Having completed the selection process, those candidates who have been accepted then undergo counseling before admission is complete latest by September. Few of the seats are also reserved for direct admissions with state merit in class 12th. The current batch which is the batch of 2024 was trained intensively in various disciplines for the past four years including computer science, information technology electronics, mechanical engineering among others.
It has also emerged as a hub for recruiting the best talent within the ICT field for technology companies in the country. Most of the IT and Core Engineering industries along with consulting visit the campus for the placements each year. The median salary for the 2023 batch was Rs. 23 LPA and more than 98% of the students got placed with the maximum salary package going up to Rs. 42 LPA. The big corporate giants like Infosys, Wipro, Tata Consultancy Services, Larsen & Toubro etc., and Accenture are few of the companies that frequently visit the campus for recruitment. The remunerations for the students are moderate and the starting salary package is usually between 6,000 and 8,000 Rupees per annum. University of Technology Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. For admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs First Year Junior college PCM with not less than 50% marks or diploma in Engineering with not less than 55% marks is compulsory. Engineering students should have passed state/national level entrance exams for engineering with minimum rank.
2. Minimum 60 Percent marks in FYJC PCB or for diploma in science or BSC degree for the undergraduate science programs is necessary. Candidates should have their basic requirements such as cut off for the entrance exam if any met.
3. For applicants passing their final examination or holding FYJC any stream with minimum 50% marks or diploma in related fields with minimum 55 % marks and portfolio submission or entrance exam qualification is necessary.
4. To get admission in undergraduate commerce and business program for FYJC any stream with fifty percent marks at least or any diploma with fifty five percent marks is needed. A few of them may have further requirements based on the entrance test for admission.
5. For admission into PG Engineering courses, BE/BTech degree or equivalent with at least 55% marks is required. Good valid GATE score may also be required for admission into this course for some of the specializations offered.
6. For post graduate Management programs the candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in any field with a minimum of 50 percent marks. It is also important to note that specialization programs such as Finance may necessitate professional degrees. Masters Degree: The candidate must have cleared MAT/CAT/CMAT etc., the management entrance test.
