Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences (UPUMS) is one of the reputed medical colleges located in Uttar Pradesh, which was earlier named as Uttar Pradesh Rajkiya Medical College and was established in the year 2005. It is recognized by the Medical Council of India and the medical school provides undergraduate and postgraduate education. UPUMS is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council with a grade A accreditation. According to NIRF 2023 ranking, it was positioned in the 26th place among all the medical colleges in the entire country.
UPUMS has undergraduate programs in medicine, dentistry, Ayurveda, homoeopathy, unani and physiotherapy with specializations in MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS and BPT, and postgraduate courses such as MD, MS, Diploma and MCh. The candidates seeking admission in Under Graduate programs must appear for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) and based on their performance they are admitted to Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery course. For PG programs aspirants have to qualify NEET-PG examination after that they have to go counseling.

Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. For admission to MBBS, candidates require 50% in PCB in 12th standard with NEET qualified, and candidates must be between 17 to 25 years of age and have domicile of UP.
2. To undergo MD/MS, one needs to possess MBBS degree with minimum of 55% marks and should have qualified NEET PG as per Medical Council of India guidelines.
3. For nursing programs, they required the applicant to have 10+2 in science with minimum 50% of marks and minimum of 17 years of age as per the standards set by Indian Nursing Council.
4. For paramedical programs, 10+2 in science along with minimum 50% marks are required as per the university prescribed eligibility norms for each particular program.
5. To be eligible for DM/MCh super specialty, one should have post graduate degree in the respective subject MS/MD/DNB with 3 years experience and qualified in NEET SS.
6. There is requirement of postgraduate degree in respective subject with minimum 55% marks for joining the PhD programme and as per rules of UGC for entrance test by university.
