Vikrant University, Gwalior has more than 100 courses in various fields of engineering, technology, sciences, business administration, commerce, law, journalism and mass communication, Pharmaceuticals, Agriculture, Teacher Education, Arts, Fashion Technology and many more. Major departments are Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Commerce & Law, BCA, BBA, BA, B.Sc, B.Ed, B.Pharmacy, Integrated courses etc,. Rejected entrance examinations accepted among all departments include JEE Main for GPAT, CAT, MAT, XAT, UGAT, CLAT, CUCET, TISSNET. Minimum requirement for admissions to engineering, sciences and professional courses is that one must have passed 12th or any equivalent exam with minimum percentage ranging from 45 to 60% by subjects and by specialization with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
The 2024 batch of applications for all the UG and PG courses offered in the college will be open in May 2023. Admission through common entrance exam VUGATE, IPU CET, UPSEE, NPAT, other state level exams as per list and national level tests comprises JEE Main, CAT, GPAT, MAT, XAT, UGAT, CLAT, AIMA, NIFT and others. Admission procedure is through an online application form, the entrance test as per applicable VUGATE or any national or state level test and pass in the test with the minimum required marks. After the written examination, the candidates who are finally shortlisted have to go through document verification and remit fees to guarantee their admission. The seats are as per the preferences, category, merit in the entrance exam, subjects for which they have opted and many more factors.
1. Candidate’s selection into the program depends on his or her performance in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains examination.
2. In case of general category candidate must have scored not less than 75% marks in Class 12 or equivalent examination with PCB as compulsory subjects. As per the given eligibility criteria, the minimum percentage required for SC/ST category is 65%.
3. Candidates passed in Class 12 with an aggregate of 60%, with Physics, Chemistry And Mathematics as the subjects for candidates who have obtained a valid score in JEE Mains. The relaxation of 5% for SC/ST category individual is also permissible.
4. It also accepts Diploma holders for admissions in different courses it offers to its students. The candidates must have passed their Diploma with minimum 60% of total marks for eligibility. The SC/ST and other backward classes were given a relaxation of 5 per cent.
5. In addition to this, the candidates who have passed class 12 and have a minimum of two year ITI certificate can also apply. They also require an average of at least 60% marks in all class XII subjects. Concessions like 5% relaxation for the SC/ ST candidates.

1. A candidate must have valid GATE score – It is mandatory that the candidate has appeared and cleared GATE examination in order to be considered for M.Tech admissions. Applications with better GATE scores will be preferred.
2. Standardized achievements - 10th standard, 12th standard and undergraduate degree records will be taken into consideration. Candidates who stand to benefit from a higher percentage will be given preference.
3. Entrance examination & personal Interview – The university’s own written test and interview are conducted for candidates who have been short-listed for admission to VU Gwalior. Performing well in these will however enhance the prospects of being selected.
4. Industry experience – Experience in the industry or the research sector is also preferred and may be given preference over the freshers.
5. Availability of M.Tech seats – the admissions will be given out strictly proportional to the availability of number of M.Tech specializations. There can also be some reservation criteria that may be implemented.
