XIM University Bhubaneswar is an educational institution which comprises several courses across the streams such as management, commerce, science, engineering, arts and law in its undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Every department has its own set of standards regarding the eligibility of the participants for the study. The percentage required in 12th or equivalent examination like HS/ISC for BBA and BCom is 50 percent and for BCom, it is 45 percent. For BCA/BSc, applicants must have 50% marks in 12th with maths/statistics/computers. BE/BTech programs require 50% in 12th PCM and considers tests like JEE Mains, OJEE, XIM-AT. Acceptance of BA and MA program in humanities and social sciences admit 50 % in subjects related to the UG for MA. For admittance into the LLB program, one needs a graduation proof in any field with at least 50% average. BBA-LLB and BCom-LLB integrated courses are also proposed which can be done with 50% in 12th Standard.
Documents Required for Admission in XIMU Bhubaneswar for Different Courses:
1. Should have cleared 10+2 or any other equivalent examination in any recognized by any recognized board and the candidate must have secured an aggregate of 60% of marks.
2. Possess valid score in XAT or CAT or GMAT entrance tests. They also differ in terms of the percentile cutoff that is used in ranking the students depending on the program that the student is undertaking.
3. It also means that graduates can pursue management programs like PGDM on the basis of graduation scores and entrance tests.
4. Having work experience is not mandatory but desirable when it comes to the executive programs as in Executive PGDM.
5. Must have to go through XIM personal interview and/or group discussion rounds if selected for the final round.
6. Candidates belonging to the reserved categories often have the provisions to have lesser percentage standards in the academics and the entrance tests.
1. Prospective students have to complete their application form and pay fees for the intended program online or before the deadline at designated centers.
2. XAT/CMAT/GMAT exam should be cleared and at least the percentiles required for admission in the program applied should be obtained.
3. Selected candidates have been summoned to participate in a group discussion and personal interviews for at the Bhubaneswar campus.
4. The percentile score obtained in the entrance test, performance in academics, GD, & PI if any forms the basis of the final merit list.
5. Counseling sessions conducted, candidates opt for their preferred program and submit admission fees to secure a place.
6. Attend registration date and enroll on the program, take an orientation and start with classes.
1. Using either online or traditional methods, submit the XIMU application with the form and application fee before the deadline.
2. Write the XAT examination, conducted in January by XLRI. XIMU has an online test, XAT, for shortlisting candidates.
3. The written ability test for all the shortlisted candidates and group interview is conducted in February-March for the XIMU course.
4. Final merit list preparation is based on candidates’ XAT score, written test and interview performance.
5. Out of the qualified applicants, those who accept the given offer must fulfill the admission requirements by paying the fees and producing documents.
6. New batch starts in June-July every year for both the programs. The MBA program will take two years with the internship and the dissertation / project done in the final year.
1. Age requirement – There is no bar on the age of the candidate but they should have passed graduation in any discipline and possess 50% aggregate marks.
2. Online application form – There is an online application form where you have to fill your and your child’s information and make the application fee payment through the XIMU website.
3. Sitting for XAT Exam – Sit for the Xavier Aptitude Test which is conducted in January. XAT score is used for shortlisting The test is conducted to decide the short listing criteria for admission to Master of Business Administration course.
4. Group Discussion and Personal Interview – Candidates short listed for further interview through XAT score are invited to attend GD/PI which is conducted in February-March.
5. Check final merit list – It is the list of shortlisted candidates drawn from the XAT scores obtained by candidates, their previous academic record, and performance in Group Discussion/Interviews.
6. Be engaged in counseling – They are conducted in April – May when candidates select their specialization.
7. Final paperwork - Finally, what is remaining is to complete the admission formalities such as payment of fees within the stipulated time.
1. The basic eligibility criteria for admission to the programme are: Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination in any discipline securing minimum 50% aggregate marks.
2. Online application - Complete the online registration form available at the official website of ximu.edu.in and submit it along with the fee by the last date.
3. XIMU Entrance Test – This is also called XAT conducted throughout the country. It contains multiple choice questions including assessment of aptitude, logical thinking and the English language.
4. Outcomes – The XAT score card along with the list of selected candidates for next rounds of admission is displayed online.
5. GD & Interview – After completing online aptitude and language tests, the short-listed candidates go through Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) conducted by XIMU at various centres.
6. Provisional admission – XAT scores/GD & Interview, offers admission on provisional basis to the candidate based on production of original documents.
7. Acceptance – Upon the confirmation of documents submitted, students accepted in the respective courses pay the semester fees within the stated period.
1. Need to review criteria such as work experience, number of publications, GMAT/GRE scores.
2. Click on the admission form, print and fill it then submit with other necessary documents before the stated date.
3. Sit for research aptitude test and or be interviewed if you have been selected.
4. Acceptance/Rejection decision to be made: based on: test scores, interview performance.
5. Tender to the admission offer, pay fees and this acknowledge the offer of admission.
6. Finalize all the procedures to enroll at the college and start Ph.D programme as planned.
