Loyola College Chennai is one of the leading institution affiliated to the Jesuit system which offers a number of degree courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate level in the faculties of science, commerce, arts, and management. These are Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, Commerce, Economics, English, Visual Communication, Business Administration and Management and Mass communication. The eligibility criteria differ from one department to another – For BSc one needs 50% in Physics Chemistry Maths or Biology, For BA English 55% in higher secondary, For BCom 55% in Accountancy Maths or other Commerce subjects, For BBA 60% overall aggregate in high school results. The qualifying exams accepted for admission across all programs include National level exams like CBSE, ICSE, State Board and NIOS etc. Some programs also accept TANCET, CAT, XAT and JEE Main/Advance score.

BSc courses include the likes of Physics, Chemistry, Plant Biology & Plant Biotechnology, Mathematics/Statistics, Computer Science/Applications, and Visual Communication. The eligibility is passing of class 12th science stream with minimum aggregate % between 55-60% board like CBSE, State, ICSE, etc. Accepted qualifying exams are NEET UG, JEE Main, SAT Subject Tests, Loyola Entrance Test. The BCom program is designed for the students who want to be a commerce professional with the ability to handle finance and analytics; minimum educational requirement for this program is 12th grade with minimum 50% marks. BCom accepts standard tests like the SAT, CAT, XAT, MAT and the ATMA. The BA programs include major areas such as Economics, English literature, French, Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology, Tamil, communication, History.
