Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology, better known as NMIT is an independent engineering college situated in Bangalore, Karnataka. NMIT was set up in 2001 and is recognized from AICTE and is an associate of VTU University established at Belgaum. NAAC has placed it in the ‘A’ Grade and it has secured a CGPA of 3.31 out of 4. In NIRF Ranking 2023, NMIT has been ranked at 181 in Engineering category in India.  

NMIT is a University that provides undergraduate, postgraduate and even PhD degrees in various fields of engineering, technology as well as management. The under graduate courses offered are the BTech in computer Science, Information technology electronics and electrical, Mechanical, civil and Biotechnology, with an intake capacity of 60 students per branch. Through COMEDK UGET exam only students are allowed for getting admission in this university. Some of the master’s degree offered with AI and ML focus include MTech and MBA in Data Science etc. The admission process for 2024 batch will commence in Feb 2023. The entrance test, comprising of written test, will be held in April-May 2012 while the interview will also be conducted in the same period.

Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)

1. For taking admission into engineering streams like Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication Engineering, etc the applicant should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics, Chemistry as optional subjects with at least 50% marks taken together in these three subjects.

2. Any applicant seeking admission into the architecture program must possess 10+2 or equivalent qualification with Mathematics and must have obtained a minimum aggregate of 50%. The applicant should also present valid and original NATA scores. 

3. For taking admission in MBA & MCA courses, it is mandatory to have graduation in any discipline with 50 % marks. Candidates should also possess valid scores in entrance tests like KMAT, CMAT, CAT etc based on the stream.  

4. The requirements for M.Tech program include the following: The applicant must possess BE/B.Technology in the relevant branch of engineering college with minimum 50% marks in aggregate. It is beneficial for the candidates because students passing GATE have preference in the admission.
