Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology (GCET) is an independent engineering college which is situated in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. GCET was started in year 2011 and is approved by AICTE and is affiliated to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University previoudly known as Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow. Thus, NAAC ‘A’ grade accreditation has been conferred to GCET to prove its excellent infrastructure and educational quality. In the newly released NIRF rankings for the year 2023, GCET has secured the place within the 101-150 band for all engineering colleges in India.  

GCET aims to provide undergraduate (B.Tech) and postgraduate (M.Tech) degrees in Computer Science Engineering, Electronics & Communications, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Information Technology. For B.Tech, programs, the admission is based on state-level entrance examination such as UPSEE, JEE Main and for national level examination and for M.Tech through GATE qualification or score in qualifying exam. The even semester exams will be held in November/December 2023 of the current academic session The end-semester patterns for the current academic session are as follows. Admission to GCET for the 2024 session is likely to be available from January 2024. Nevertheless, the process of admission consists of registration, applying, entrance test, and counseling before arriving at the final step of seat allocation.

Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)

1. He/She must be a pass out in 10+2 or equivalent examination in any stream such as science, commerce, humanities with minimum 60% marks.

2. For B.Tech candidates should have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in their 10+2 level examination. For other programs, subjects related to the discipline are required as stated in the requirements for different programs. 

3. Second, candidates appearing for their 10+2 exam can also apply for the post of TCCS. A provisional admission will be offered based on predicted scores in cases where the student has not taken the examination.  

4. The minimum admission requirements for entrance into the BTech/MTech programs include valid score in the national or state level entrance tests such as JEE Main, GATET and or others.  

5. It is based on government norms that 80% of seats is reserved for SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates.  

6. This is done based on scores in 10+2/qualifying examination/ entrance examination for the particular course, group discussion and interview etc. Counseling is done to ensure that students are placed in the right class/ section/ branch according to the seats available.
