There are various engineering disciplines offered by Rajeev Gandhi Memorial College of Engineering and Technology situated in Nandyal, Kurnool which includes Computer Science and Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering. Each department has its own eligibility criteria but mainly, to apply for this course, students should have passed their 10+2 or intermediate level examination with science stream where they had Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as their subjects. The students who have to be selected for further studies have to have obtained over 45% aggregate marks. EAMCET, JEE Main and AP Polytechnic diploma are the valid entrance examinations while BSc graduates are also allowed for lateral entry.
The college grants the B.Tech degrees in courses such as Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering. Some of the important examination dates relating to admission in the session, 2024 are as follows: The EAMCET examination is conducted in April 2024, JEE Main Examination is conducted in January & April 2024 respectively. AP Polytechnic exam will be in March month of the coming year 2024. The B.Tech admission by and large commences after the results of the EAMCET & JEE exams are out. In order to seek counseling and seat allotment, students who meet the qualification criteria should do so. Concerned students have to undergo the processes like payment of fees, handing in of documents within specific dates. Technological Outlook BSc graduates need to appear for the ECET exam conducted in May 2024 for lateral entry into the second year. The admission process culminates before the commencement of the academic year which falls in August 2024 for all departments and streams.
