The Saroj Mohan Institute of Technology Hooghly has been providing its students with a wide range of available streams in various departments. The school of computing and informatics has the department of computer science and engineering which offers BTech in CSE and the entry requirement is passing class twelve with physics, chemistry and mathematics.
The eligible entrance tests are WBJEE, JEE Main, and MET. The specializations that can be pursued with the help of the degree are clear and the program offered by the electrical engineering department for BTech in EE is through WBJEE and JEE Mains that requires PCM in 12th standard. The civil engineering department offers BTech civil engineering and accepts WBJEE and JEE Main scores base on 12th standard pass with PCM. The department of Mechanical engineering offers the BTech in Mechanical engineering with the WBJEE and JEE Main qualifying entrance exams and requires the candidate to have passed 12th standard and had studied PCM subjects.
