Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College provides courses namely B.Sc, B.Com and B.A, in science, commerce and arts faculties respectively. In the science department, confirmations for B.Sc. To pursue the program like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Computer Science, one has to pass the 12th standard examination with at least 50% average marks and with subjects like Chemistry, Maths & Physics/ Biology. The BCA programme is open for any student who has completed 12th in any stream with minimum 50% marks with Mathematics as one of the subject. B.Com courses offer admissions according to the percentage obtained in the Board examinations of Commerce stream in CBSE or any equivalent board. The BA program includes subjects such as Economics, Political Science, English, Hindi, etc, and candidate are selected based on humanities & arts stream percentile. They can apply through university exams such as CUET because it offers admission into various programmes through UG CUET scores.
It has total undergraduate honors degree courses around 20 and these are offered in B.Sc B.Com and BA and other course such as BCA vocational etc. B.Voc is the only program that takes slightly longer time of 3 years for completion while all other programs offered by the institutes take 3 years. Some tentative exam dates which include CUET 2023 exam in 1st week of May and DUET 2023 in 2nd week of June. The admission process is through 1) Online registration through Delhi University 2) Entrance tests such as CUET or respective department test depending upon the course chosen 3) Counselling for admission and verification of documents based on certain dates 4) Fee payment completes the provisional admission process 5)The allocation of seats follows the merit, reserved categories and the eligibility criteria of the particular course. This temporary admission admits students for the new academic session that starts in July/August and the cycle closes at the end of July, 2023.
The admission procedures for the SGTB KHALSADU can be done on the university website at www.sgtbkhalsadu.ac.in . Students have to approach the ‘Admissions’ tab and apply for the course online as per the given timings only. They must upload scanned copies of photograph and signature as per the instructions and other documents such as Class 10 and 12 marksheets, etc., which are mandatory.
