Sri Venkateswara College was set up in 1961 and is one among the well-known institutions in the Delhi University’s South Campus. It provides a variety of courses for undergraduates and postgraduates in the streams of science, arts and commerce. It also holds ‘A+’ grade from NAAC or National Assessment and Accreditation Council of India. It was ranking 17 of colleges in India acceding to the NIRF ranking of 2023.
The college provides several streams of undergraduate honours courses such as Economics, English , Hindi , History , Philosophy Political Science, Sanskrit , Sociology , Physics , Chemistry , Zoology and so on. These are the courses that are offered to students who sought admission through passing the DUET exam, which is an examination set by Delhi University. For courses at post graduate level like M.Sc chemistry and M.A English, written test is conducted by the college. In most cases, the application process is conducted in May each year. The exams for admission in the year 2024 will be coming soon. The candidates are then required to go for counselling to choose their desired course and the college in which it is offered.

Sri Venkateswara College - Delhi Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. For Bachelors programs, students should have completed their Class 12 from any recognized board and the minimum percentage for Common Entrance Exam score vary between 55 percent to 60 percent depends upon the course.
2. For science programs, the applicants shall have passed Class 12 in subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics Biology etc based on the program.
3. For arts and commerce programs, candidates have to passed there subjects in Social science humanities commerce etc in their 12th standard.
4. For masters programs, the candidate must have a bachelors degree in the areas of specialization from a reputed college with minimum cgpa ranging between 50 to 60 depending upon the course.
5. Concessions and exemptions for fee paying categories are allowed as per the norms prescribed by Delhi University in regard to SC, ST, OBC, EWS, CW etc.
6. There might be extra requirements that need to be met for students to participate in activities such as sports, extra curricular activities and so on which are clearly stated in the college website or in the prospectus.
