Master of Science in Zoology is a post graduate course of study that deals with the systematic study of ways of life, evolution, structure, functions, genetics and habitats and taxonomy of animals and animal communities. The duration of M.Sc. Zoology is typically 2 years, which is further sub-divided into four semesters. These current areas of focus are reflected in the curriculum through such advanced classes as animal diversity, biochemistry, ecology, evolution, genetics, cell biology, developmental biology, animal physiology, and behavior classes.
For admission to M.Sc Zoology programs of various colleges and universities in India, students need to take some of the following national level entrance examination: CUCET, JNUEE, DUET, BHU-PET, GATE and other State level tests as conducted by the particular State.
