St. Thomas College is one of the oldest and most reputed educational institutions of learning in the Thrissur city of Kerala. It was established in 1950 and has rapidly expanded making it one of the best arts and science colleges in the region. St. Thomas college is an autonomous college in Kerala affiliated to the University of Calicut and it has been accredited with ‘A’Grade by the NAAC – National Assessment and Accreditation Council. It secured 55th rank position out of all the college in India in the NIRF ranking of the year 2023.
The college currently has a variety of courses in its portfolio and these include under graduate and post graduate programs in sciences, social sciences, commerce and humanities. Some of the bachelor’s degree programs include B.Sc Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, BA in Economics, English and History, B.Com in Finance and Accounting, BBA and MSC in diverse fields. These programmes are available and the admissions are given based on the common entrance exam conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations, Kerala. The examination schedules are usually in April-May and the admission procedures begin in June for the next year.
