The documents required at the time of application and counseling are as follows:
- Students are admitted in the university depending on the scores they obtained in the GATE which stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. The candidates have to have valid GATE score to qualify for the program.
- While admitting students to M.Tech programs 70 percent weightage is given to the GATE scores conducted by IITs while 30 percent weightage is given to the marks obtained in the qualifying UG degree.
- The university may accept GATE scores is not mandatory while admitting candidates in M.Tech program under sponsored category. However, those who sponsors them should ensure that they meet the minimum requirement of having 2 years professional work experience.
- In the case of admission to M.Tech courses, the counseling is done on the basis of GATE scores, and options chosen by the candidate for branch of specialization. Preferences for the seats are given according to merit, their preference, the category to which they belong etc.
