Vignan Institute of Technology and Science (VITS) is one of the educational institutions situated in Deshmukhi, Telangana, and is autonomous in nature. It is a college established in 1997 located in Hyderabad which is approved by AICTE and affiliated to JNTU Hyderabad. It was starred with an ‘A’ grade by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council). In the NIRF ranking of 2023, VITS has been placed in the 151st position in the engineering college ranking of India.
At VITS, B. Tech. courses are provided in seven branches like computer science and engineering, electronics and communication engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, chemical engineering, and biotechnology. It also runs M.Tech courses in five specializations and MCA & MBA for graduates. The institute runs on the semester system and semester examination usually take place in the months of November and April each year. The regular and 85% self-financed B.Tech admissions are through EAMCET counseling and the remaining 15% through management quota on the merit of 10+2 exam. For M.Tech and MBA, the seat is offered through entrance tests conducted as GATE/PGECET/ICET respectively. The process begins in May and concerns all students without distinctions as to their year of study.

1. For BTech programmes, the candidates should have completed their 12th or equivalent examination in PCM/PCB with minimum 60% marks for general category candidates and 55% for SC/ST candidates. Mandatory requirement for the posts is to have valid rank in JEE Main. This is the maximum age that one can attain to be able to join the group, that is, 22 years of age.
2. To be eligible for admission to MTech programs, candidates should have a minimum of a BTech/BE degree in the relevant branch of engineering with not less than 60 percent marks (55 percent for SC/ST candidates). Though there is no specific requirement for educational qualifications, GATE qualified candidates are preferred. Working experience may be considered as relevant depending on the particular institution or company one is applying for.
3. For MCA program, candidates must have obtained the Bachelor’s degree in BCA, BCS, BIS, B.Sc. (Math/Stat/Computer Science/ Electronics / IT) and minimum 50% marks for General Category and 45% marks for SC/ST in the Bachelor’s programme. Mathematics is taken at level 12 as part of the compulsory courses.
4. For MBA program, candidates should have passed 10+2+3 recognized university examination with minimum 50% marks in any graduate discipline, 45% for SC/ST. Particularly, the candidate needs to be an appropriate scorer in the entrance tests such as CAT/MAT/XAT/ATMA/GMAT. Work experience preferred.
5. For BPharm program, the candidates are required to clear 12th in PCB/PCM with min 50% marks where as 45% marks are required for SC/ST candidates. Qualifying exam score required. Age limit is 22 years Age limit : 22 years.
