Documents Required for Admission in BIHER Chennai for Different Courses:
1. The candidates should have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination with physics, chemistry and mathematics as compulsory subjects.
2. The candidates must have secured 50 percent marks in the 10+2 or the equivalent examination and 45 percent for SC/ST category.
3. Latter will be done on merit basis of the qualifying examination for the particular course. It will entail ranking the students according to the percentage accumulated in the Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects in the qualifying examination.
4. However, in case the total percentage of the marks secured by the candidate for the qualifying examination is equal, then the candidate who has secured higher percentage of marks in Mathematics will be preferred. If, however, there is still a deadlock in choosing between two candidates, then the older candidate will be picked.
5. The candidates satisfy the above criteria are required to attend the counseling session as per the counseling timetable. Preferences like category, availability of the seat and choices filled in the admission process will also be taken into consideration for seat allocation.
6. Candidates after their turn, have to pay for the fees required for the course to warrant acceptance of their admission or else, that seat is withdrawn and given to the next candidate in line.

6. In case of selection as shortlisted candidate, appear for the BIHER B.Tech entrance exam as per the dates mentioned below.
- It follows merit hence the candidates with the best grades in the qualifying examination known as B.Sc are offered admission. It is required that the candidates should possess the B.Sc in the particular subject they are applying for in M.Sc.
- Some programs may also require students to write an entrance examination, organized by the institute. Apart from B.Sc marks, entrance test performance will be taken into cognizance for the selection.
- As part of selection process, there may be GD/PI rounds are conducted to judge the Communication Skills, Subject Knowledge, Interests and Aptitude of the candidates.
- For general category candidates it is mandatory to have pass percentage of 50% aggregate in B.Sc to apply for the post mentioned above. Deregoation is allowed for candidates under the reserved category regarding minimum marks to be obtained.
- The last round of the selection process considers the candidates’ academic background, entrance test (if any), performance in Group Discussion and Personal Interview or Assessment, overall preparation, and conformance to all the criteria set for the particular program.
