It is a private institution that is located in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. The college was established in 2011 and is accredited by the University Grant Commission (UGC). Accreditation of the university has been accorded grade ‘A’ by the NAAC with an overall CGPA of 3.23 on a range of four. The university provides graduate, postgraduate and doctorate in different fields of study in the 8 schools and 38 academic departments. The courses offered at Galgotias University are recognized and some of the most popular courses are BTech, MBA, MCA, BCA, BSc, MSc, BA LLB/BBA LLB, BDS, MBBS and PhD programs. The admission procedure begins in the month of January each year and the candidates can apply only through online mode or through a prescribed format which is available in various colleges and streams. The university also set up its own national level entrance examinations such as GEEE for engineering, GEET for computer applications and GELLAT for law stream, to enroll the students. As for the exam date, the details are yet to be released, and they will be posted on the official website once they are ready for the 2024 admission session.
Placement and Internship Cell is a very active cell in Galgotias University that provides the graduating students of the University to have pre-placement talks, internships, training programs and final placements every year. Based on the survey many of the reputed companies like Amazon, Capgemini, Infosys, Wipro, Dell, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank etc have visited the campus for recruitment. In the recently concluded placement drive, over 500 firms have given more than 4500+ job offers to the 2021-22 graduate batch with an average salary package of Rs 6.5 LPA and highest salary package of Rs 27.5 LPA. For IT/ITES, Core Engineering, BFSI, Consulting, FMCG and few more sectors, placement statistics revealed that 80% of total eligible students were successfully placed in various job roles.

Galgotias University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
Engineering: The candidate should have passed 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and the minimum percentage should be fifty from any recognized board. It is worth noting that some branches may need more subjects in their training. They have standard entry policy through national/state level engineering entrance exam or a test conducted by the University itself, Galgotias University.
MBA: Ethiopian graduate of any discipline is eligible to apply for this job. MBA eligibility is based on National/State level entrance tests such as CAT/MAT or the test conducted by the college itself- GU-MET. Sometimes, work experience may become a requirement for specific fields of study.
Law: As per the eligibility criteria for admission in MBA, the candidates should have a graduation in any subject with a minimum of fifty percent marks. Of late, the admission norms have been formalized by national/state CLAT or by the Galgotias University entrance test.
Medical: It must be noted that for the admissions in B.Sc. Nursing, candidates must have passed the 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Biology and must have secured more than 50% marks. It offers Undergraduate courses, admission to which can be taken through national/state medical entrance examinations including the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).
