Gautam Buddha University (GBU) is a state university situated in the city of Greater Noida, in the State of Uttar Pradesh. GBU was set up in 2002, and it is approved by the UGC while it has been accredited by NAAC with an ‘A’ Grade. As per the NIRF Rankings declared recently for the year 2023, GBU has been placed in the rank bracket of 101-150 in the university category in India. 

GBU is also an important center for learning offering a variety of programs that spans through engineering, management, sciences, humanities, law and more among the popular courses offered are the BTech, MBA, BCA,BA,BSc,LLB and many more the admission process normally starts in April every year. While for admission in 2024 batch, it is assumed that the application process will start in April 2023. UPSEE, JEE Mains etc. will be included in entrance categories for providing admissions. The exams could be during April to July 2023 The exams are most probably going to be conducted during April July 2023.

Gautam Buddha University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)

1. Bachelor's Programs: Matriculation or equivalent along with 10+2 pass in any stream from a recognized university with not less than 50% marks in aggregate for general candidates and 45% in case of SC/ ST candidates. Interests should be specifies to include relevant subjects for the program applied for.   

2. Master's Programs: A candidate must have passed Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University in the relevant field securing not less than 50% marks for open category candidates and 45% marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST category. However, there are instances where programs set extra conditions before one can be considered for admission.

3. MPhil Programs: Possess a Master’s degree in a concerned subject with at least 55% marks in aggregate (50% marks for SC/ST category). However, certain programs may have their own special criteria that need to be met for the student to be eligible for such programs.  

4. PhD Programs: Candidate should have passed master’s degree in the relevant subject with not less than 55% of the aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST category candidates). A few programs may necessitate one to pursue national level tests so as to qualify for the program.

5. Integrated Programs: The aspirants must have passed their 10+2 from any recognized board obtaining a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% in case the candidate belongs to the SC/ST category). Subjects should be those relevant to the program that has been applied for.

Gautam Buddha University Courses Details 2024

Gautam Buddha University (GBU) has a holistic undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral education programs in the streams of engineering, computer applications, business administration, commerce, biotechnology, microbiology, physics, chemistry, mathematics, education , journalism and mass communication, law, agriculture and many more. 

The university adopts the semester system of examination and admits students on the basis of NATIONAL LEVEL tests such as JEE Mains, CAT, GATE, etc OR its own University Tests. The fees structure as mentioned earlier differs from one program to the other. In case of BTech programs the fee is roughly about INR 75000 per annum and for MBA the fee is roughly about INR 100000 per annum in case of government recognized instituions.
