IIT Jodhpur is one of the most reputed Engineering & Technology Institute, situated in the city of Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India was established in the year 2008. It has been declared an institute of national importance, and it is governed by the Institute of National Importance Act, 2017. IIT Jodhpur has a NAAC Grade A++ status and hence is proof of quality education imparted to the students. The NIRF India Rankings 2023 were recently announced and as per these rankings IIT Jodhpur was placed at 37 overall and 22nd among engineering institutes.
The institute has been providing the BTech programmes in a variety of fields such as computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical, Metallurgy, Civil Engineering and the list is quite expansive. JEE Advanced conducted by the IIT Jodhpur for the admission to the BTech programmes for the academic year 2024-25 are generally held in the month of May. The admission process is selective and only candidates with the best performance in JEE Advanced can gain admission. Apart from BTech, it is also known for its MTech, MSc, MS, and PhD programs in Science, Engineering, Humanities & Social Sciences, Design & Management streams. As for these programs, admissions process may differ, though, there are certain standardized tests like GATE or CSIR-NET, JAM etc.
IIT Jodhpur has a good placement record following its brand name and the quality output students from the institute. There are IT and consulting firms, core engineering firms, analytics, and financial services industries for which students vie to be hired upon graduation. The maximum Inter campus off campus offer for the graduating batch of 2022-22 was INR 1.30 crores per annum. More than 80% students got placed with average salary package ranging between 15 LPA-20 LPA. Some of the prominent recruitment agencies are Microsoft, Google, Intel, Qualcomm, Boston Consulting Group, Goldman Sachs, among others.

IIT Jodhpur Placements 2024
IIT Jodhpur has the following graph which shows that the placements offers have increased gradually. In the academic year 2022-23, about 200 companies had been visiting the campus for placement and offing around 500 plus jobs. The major recruiters opted through the event included Microsoft, Google, Amazon.com, Samsung R&D Institute, Texas Instruments and Goldman Sachs among others. More than 80 percent of the students who had registered for placements had been successful in securing job placements with various organizations. The highest salary package was that of INR 1.30 crore per annum from a global investment bank, and the median salary was INR 23.66 lakh per annum, representing a 12% increase year on year.
