IIIT Delhi is one of the state universities located in New Delhi, India and it was established in the year 2004. IIIT-Delhi was established in the year, 2008, which is an Institute of National Importance under the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi. The institute is recognized by the UGC and is accredited with NAAC Grade ‘A’ for its quality standards. In the NIRF Rankings 2023 announced recently, IIIT-Delhi has figured as the 41st among engineering institutes in the country.
Learners are prepared to meet the current market needs in their areas of specialization provided by IIIT-Delhi such as information technology, computer science, electronics & communication, computational biology, social computing and many other. Some of the most opted courses in the IIIT-Delhi undergraduate program are B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computational Biology and B.Tech+M.The Tech of Computer Science and Engineering. Candidates interested in entering the university for the 2024 academic session are expected to apply in January 2023. Like most of the IIITs in India, IIIT-Delhi also has its own separate entrance examination for selecting students for its undergraduate programs. The postgraduate programs at IIIT-Delhi includes admission for GATE qualified candidates. The last date of M.Tech admission for those programs which are starting in the month of July 2024 is expected to be in the month of May 2023. Over all the examinations of all programs are administered from December to June of the following year.
IIIT-Delhi for instance, has a good record as several companies and startups have been offering employment opportunities to students trained at the institution. More than 150 organisations take part in the placement process available at IIIT-Delhi. The highest salary package delivered for the 2021-22 graduation batch was up to nearly Rs 60 lakh per annum, as the average salary package was offered around Rs 16 lakh per annum. Its major recruiters are Microsoft, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Tow Research, American Express, Flipkart, Paytm, Zomato and many more. The students of the graduating batch secured placements at over 90% through the campus from eligible students and during this pandemic situation as well.

1. Applicants seeking admission to the BTech programs must have completed the senior secondary examination or equivalent with at least 60 per cent average in the final examination in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Applicants also need to have a valid JEE Main rank and there is also additional criteria that applicants have to fullfil.
2. For admission to MTech and PhD programs minimum requirement include a degree of BTech/ BE or equivalent in a relevant branch with a minimum of 60 % in the qualifying examination or having a valid GATE score above the cut off. Work experience may also be taken into consideration if they are in some way relevant to the position for which the person is applying.
3. To be eligible for BDes program they need to clear their 10+2 or equivalent and have 50% pass percentage and have to clear UCEED exam. Selection of the applicants will be done on the basis of UCEED rank, class 12 standard marks and interview.
4. Applicants must also have a minimum of 60% of the aggregate marks in the degree and a valid CEED score above the cut off for the MDes program for which the eligibility is a bachelor’s degree of minimum 4 years duration in design or equivalent.
5. The requirement to join the MBA program is: a bachelor’s degree in any field of study with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized institution and minimum CAT/CMAT score above the cut off percentile. Work experience as to the post shall be considered an advantage.
6. Since, for the PhD programs, the candidate needs to have a master degree in the concerned subject with minimum of sixty percent marks or its equivalent grade point. For some disciplines a GATE/CEED/CMAT score may additionally be required.
Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi was established in 2008 under the act of state university. Established in 2009, IIIT Delhi is the tenth institution of the IIIT system and focuses on providing undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral degree in different streams of technology and computer science.
