Admissions for BTech 2024:- JEE Main Exam: January & April 2023,-JEE Advance: May 2023. For PG admissions GATE entrance exam date is February 4th to 12th, and CAT is November 27th to December 11th of 2022 respectively. However, for most exams, registration will begin 3-4 months before the actual tests. It is initiated through registration, taking the appropriate national/state level entrance tests, going through second level counselling like CSAB Special Rounds in order to secure a seat and final admission depending on preference, merit and eligibility. The online application form will include the basic personal details, the academic record, basic documents that need to be uploaded and the application fee has to be paid online as well. Once you fill the form, it can be submitted and a print out is made for future use. However, you may also request for the application form from the website and submit the hard copy along with documentary proofs and fee via demand draft.
Process for filling up of Admission Form online Read the instructions carefully before filling up the form:
- The criteria of admission to M.Sc programs is depending on the GATE score OR Other Standardized Tests as deemed by the respective institute/university. Civil engineers who have valid GATE score are eligible for the exam.
- The admission to the M.Sc in Mathematics and Scientific Computing programme is also offered to the students who have failed to secure a valid GATE score, but they have to clear the Joint Admission Test for M.Sc (JAM).
- The final list is drawn based on how a candidate fares in the GATE/JAM examination, the marks obtained in the qualifying degree examination, the number of seats available in each branch, and the government policies on reserved category.
- However, unlike some Universities like NIT Jamshedpur does not hold any examination or interview for admission to M.Sc course. Admission is direct and it is open to only those candidates who have appeared and qualified in GATE/JAM examination besides other essential requirements.
- It is mandatory for the candidate to have certain minimum score in GATE/JAM exams which varies as per the institute norms every year. Hopefuls must achieve the stipulated passing grades or cutoff scores as the case may be.
1. Candidates must read the details of the eligibility criteria in the advertisement regarding qualification, percentage, entrance examination, etc., while applying for the posts.
2. The application is done online through the website of NIT Jamshedpur at the time when the admissions are open. Just continue visiting the website in order to look for the application deadline.
3. You will then click the “Admission” button or “Academics” button, then you will choose “Postgraduate Programs” from the options. In the case of program, choose M.Sc.
4. First of all, you have to get yourself registered which will involve creation of unique ID by filling up basic details such as name, email Id, mobile number etc.
5. After opening the page, you should log in and enter all the required information into the application form as accurately as possible. Various documents such as photographs, signatures, educational or degree certificates, category or caste certificates – if applicable – may be uploaded as scanned copies.
6. Pay the fee through net banking/debit card/credit card as per the given instruction while applying for admission.
7. After completing the application form online, click on the Download button to download and take a printout of the form with the application number for further use.
8. After this, you need to attend the counseling rounds/ interviews, if shortlisted, at the designated time. Visit the website often to learn about decisions regarding the selection processes.
