Netaji Subhas University of Technology New Delhi also referred to as NSUT is a premier state technical university situated in New Delhi, India. It was set up in 1983 as Delhi Institute of Technology which was later renamed in honor of the Indian revolutionary, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in 2002. NSUT is recognized by AICTE and NAAC has also granted ‘A’ Grade to this university. In NIRF 2023 ranking, NSUT has secured the 41st position among all the universities in the country. 

NSUT extends its education from Undergraduate to Post graduate level in several fields like Engineering, Management, Applied Sciences & Humanities. Some of the popular courses offered are B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering, Electronics & communications, Mechanical engineering, Biotechnology engineering and Civil engineering among others. At postgraduate level, NSUT provides M.Tech and MBA in the areas of Signal Processing, Power Electronics & Drives, Environmental Engineering, Software Engineering, Construction Management and Operation Research. The criteria for admissions in B.Tech courses include the rank in JEE Main conducted by CBSE and the percentage obtained in the 12th standard.

Netaji Subhas University of Technology Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)

1. Possessing 10+2 examination qualifications with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects and should have secured a minimum of 60% mark in aggregate (50% for SC/ST category).  

2. Obtained the minimum marks in the JEE Main exam and the cut-off percentile required for the university counseling and admission.

3. For the lateral entry at BTech, the candidates should have passed diploma in engineering in the concerned branch securing 60% marks for the general category, 55% for SC/ST.  

4. For MTech, the candidate should possess a degree in the relevant branch of B.Tech/B.E with 60% marks (50% for SC/ST).  

5. For direct admission to PhD programme, the candidate must have first division in the qualifying examination with a minimum of 60% marks in BTech/BE/MTech/ME in the relevant branch for general category candidates and 55% for SC/ST candidates.

6. All other conditions of eligibility as set by the university in this regard such as nationality, age limit etc. should be met.

Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT) has also maintained a very good placement record every year. In 2022, Microsoft, Amazon, Flipkart, Goldman Sachs, Infosys, TCS, Wipro. Some of the reputed companies, offered campus placements to the students of NSUT. The maximum was Rs 43.6 thousand per month while the median was Rs 8.9 thousand per month. In totality, greater than 83 percent of the eligible students got placed across the multiple profiles such as software engineering, product design, business analytics, consulting etc. NSUT has developed strong industry links and has made significant efforts towards preparing its students as ideal industry-ready candidates which are the key factors that have supported these great placements year after year.
