Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya (RDVV) is a state university situated in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, India, in the year 1956. It was set up in 1956 and is entitled to be affiliated to the UGC It has been accorded the grade of B ++ by NAAC. As per the NIRF rankings of the year 2023, RDVV has come up with rank of 101-150 in the list of universities in India. 

University today provides diverse opportunities for education including undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, post graduate diploma and doctoral programmes in the faculties of arts, social science, science, commerce, education, law, engineering & technology and medicine. Some of the courses include BA, BSc, BCom and BCA, BBA, MA, MSc, etc., MCom, MCA, MBA, LLB, BEd and many more. The admission process usually begins in May every year and the examinations and interviews are done in July/August. Selection is conducted on the basis of the merit of qualifying examination also the entrance examination. The academic session starts in August for all the classes.

Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)

1. For undergraduate programs like BA, BSc, BCom: The candidate must have passed the 10+2 examination from a recognized board and obtained a minimum of 50% in the relevant stream.

2. For postgraduate programs like MA, MSc, MCom: A pass in Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject and must have obtained not less than 50% marks in the aggregate from a recognized university.  

3. For MPhil: Possess a Master’s degree in the subject/related field with not less than 55% aggregate marks from a reputed University. They also should pass other examinations that are necessary to enter the university.

4. For PhD: Applicant should hold a Master’s degree in subject relevant to the law field with minimum 55% marks in aggregate. It is also important that the candidates qualify the university entrance exam and the interview. 

5. For professional courses like LLB, MBBS, BEd: Minimum pass marks in the specific relevant stream as per the norms of the particular university from where the Bachelor’s degree has been pursued. Other entrance examinations may be taken also.  

6. For diploma and certification programs: Must have passed 10+2 examination in a relevant field. Minimum percentage differs with the different program and university guideline. Some programs can include additional certification tests based on the requirements of the chosen specialization.
