Sidho Kanho Birsha University is an affiliated college located in Purulia, West Bengal which provides number of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in arts, science, commerce, law, education. Some of the important departments are Bengali, English, History, Political Science, Economis, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, Physiology, Commerce, Law, Education. It has different criteria for different departments like, it’s Some of the accepted qualifying exams have been mentioned above; WBCHSE, ISC, CBSE. For BSc, one has to pass 12th standard with Maths, Physics, Chemistry or Biology. For BCom, the candidate should have passed 12th standard with mathematics or accounts as one of the subjects. For LLB, there is no restriction on the graduation stream but the candidate must have graduated in any stream. University also offers integrated law after 12th, that means it consist of law courses in its curriculum. For MA, MSc, MCom, and LLM programmes, one needs to have relevant bachelor’s degree to apply.

Documents Required for Admission in SKBU Purulia for Different Courses:
1. This can be done both online and offline with all the necessary documents such as mark sheets, certificates, photos within the stipulated admission time line.
2. In case applicable, the candidate shall appear for relevant entrance test otherwise merit list will be prepared out of class 12th marks for admission to UG course.
3. Take time to review merit lists which may be provided indicating selected candidates for counselling sessions.

1. Eligibility criteria – At least 55% for Master’s degree or equivalent grade in the concerned subject from any University recognized by the University Grants Commission or any other recognized university.
