St. Xavier’s University Kolkata provides a number of Under Graduate & Post Graduate courses in the faculties of Science, Arts, Commerce & Education. In my opinion, it seems reasonable because the eligibility criteria may differ from department to department. For BSc programs in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics etc students should have passed 12th in science stream with minimum 60% aggregate marks. Eligibility requirement for the BA in Economics, English, History is that the candidates must have cleared the 12th exams in any stream with 55% marks. For BCom program, as a minimum requirement of admission they require 12th passed in any stream with minimum 50% marks. The pass mark of 50% in 12th standard is a prerequisite to appear for BBA.
