Vijayanagara Sri Krishnadevaraya University also known as VSKU is a University in the State of Karnataka Bellary India. It was established in the year 2016 and it is recognized by the University Grants Commissions of India and it is also NAAC accredited with B++ grade. There were NIRF rankings of Indian universities in 2023, on the VSKU it was ranked in between 101-150. 

The university provides several undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, diploma and certificate courses in Arts, Science, Commerce, Education, and Engineering faculties. Some of the broad courses are Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (BSc), Bachelor of Commerce (BCom), Bachelor of Education (BEd), Bachelor of Engineering / Technology (BE/ B Tech), Master of Science (MSc), Master of Arts (MA), Master of Commerce (MCom), Master of Education (MEd) etc. For the even semesters, the exams are conducted in the period of October to November and the results are announced in January. While in odd semesters, examinations are conducted in April /May and the results are released in July. For the academic year 2024, VSKU will be admitting students and the admission process will begin in May, 2023. There are two ways through which students can apply for the course either online or offline both of which involve the submission of a completed application form, in addition to an application fee. The admission procedures state that students are admitted based on merit which involves the marks obtained in the qualifying examination. 

The VSKU has an active placement cell that allows corporate placement by various companies. Some of the key employers are Infosys, Wipro, TATA Consultancy Services, Accenture, Dell, Cap Gemini, Larsen and Toubro and many others. Campus placements that took place in the year 2022, saw the institution placing over 80% of the eligible students through placements. The strength of the students who got placed in different companies was 25–30%, with an average salary package of ?3.5 LPA at maximum going up to ?12 LPA. Another common SEED graduate also pursued further studies in many fields of specialization in both national and international recognized institutes. Overall, with regard to the future employment prospects, one can state that the graduates of VSKU are likely to enjoy a favorable outlook.

Vijayanagara Sri Krishnadevaraya University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)

1. The admission requirements for undergraduate programs require the candidate to have passed class XII or its equivalent from any recognized board and the minimum percentage required ranges between 45-60 depending on the course.

2. Applicants pursuing postgraduate programs should have attained a relevant first degree from a recognized university with minimum aggregate marks that range between 45-60% depending on the program. 

3. For admission in MPhil and PhD courses, the aspirants are required to have master’s degree in the respective field with not less than 55 % marks in the aggregate in addition to the entrance test and interview.  

4. In terms of reservation category candidates belonging to SC, ST and OBC will be granted 5% of minimum eligibility percentage relaxation in all programs.

5. All the programs will require the candidates to complete age criterion, means of passing the entrance tests and interviews conducted by the University.

6. In addition to the academic requirement mentioned above, the candidates must also present some documents and certificates to enroll to their preferred program in Vijayanagara Sri Krishnadevaraya University.
