Asansol Engineering College is a private engineering college situated at Asansol, in the state of West Bengal. It was established in the year 1998 and was approved and recognized by AICTE and affiliated to MAKAUT formerly known as WBUT. The college has got Accreditation from NAAC and has been graded as ‘A’ with a CGPA of 3.11 on the scale of 4. As per NIRF rankings 2023 which came recently, Asansol Engineering College stands 150th position among engineering colleges of India.
Undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in engineering and technology of one’s choice are available at the college. The B.Tech courses available have the following disciplines; Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering. practices will be open to the 2024 batch from April 2023. They can apply for the examinations conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance for the course they want to pursue. As to the schedule, semester exams usually take place in the November and April months.

1. Computer Science and Engineering: Pass 12th class with at least 60% marks in Physics, chemistry, and Mathematics. No age limit.
2. Electronics and Communication Engineering: Has successfully completed the 10+2 examination with Physics and Math as one of the subjects. Min 50% in PCM.
3. Electrical Engineering: 10+2 pass with Physics, Chemistry & Math along with those who have passed with Physics, Chemistry & Math with good percentage. Passing will be 45% aggregate and 40% in each of the PCM subjects.
4. Mechanical Engineering: Passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Maths, and any one of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science. Sc. At least 50% aggregate in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
5. Civil Engineering: Minimum education requirement is the 10+2 passing certificate/diploma in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry. 50% marks in aggregate in PCM for general category candidates and 45% marks in aggregate in PCM for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
