The streams that are available at DSCE are Computer Science, Information Science, Electronics and Telecommunication, Electrical, Mechanical Civil Biotechnology and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. Below are the national level exam dates of 2024 admission – JEE Main January second week, KCET May first week, COMEDK May last week. Meanwhile depending on the test score and availability of seats for each course students are invited for counselling which is a process in which students go through documents verification, choice filling and seat allotment. In some cases, the counselling schedules are published in the official website to give the candidates a hint. The final step, payment of fees in respect of which the Admission formalities can be online or can be done in person before the last date. The information given above show that the academic session starts in the month of August in every year.
The online procedure or the online submission of the application forms for various undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered in Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering (DSCE) Bangalore is also facilitated. For admission to the BTech programs such as Computer Science, Information Science, Electronics and Communications streams, etc., the candidate has to apply online logging to the website www.dsce.edu.in or www.dscollege.in. The elaborate online application form is to be subsequently filled and scanned copies of the eligibility documents – certificates required to be attached along with the online application form – and the online admission application fee is to be paid through credit/debit card or net banking.
The offline form entails collection of a hard copy of the application form from the college office, manual filling of the form physically with necessary details, affixing the required attested copies of the mark sheets and other documents that attest one’s eligibility besides submitting the form to the college admission office with the proof of application fee paid. The mode of application for the admission into engineering and technology programs can either be online or offline depending on the results obtained in the respective entrance examinations and the results of the qualifying degree.
- Entrance examination scores – KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) is the entrance examination that has been used. In their quest for admission, students are ranked according to their performances in this examination.
- In case of some of the seats, the admission is through a consortium known as COMEDK which conducts another separate common entrance test.
- For the management/NRI sanctioned seats, the admissions are determined from the students’ outcome of the PU/10+2 examination or an entrance test organized by the college or university.
- There are also schemes where students with diploma are admitted into the program at the 2nd year of the engineering programme. For this, their diploma percentage is taken into account, and a teacher, therefore, may be expected to have a high diploma percentage.
1. Registration: To get started, go to the official website and click on the join button to provide the necessary information. Never share you login details with anyone or disclose any personal details that may be easily guessable.
2. Application Form: First, navigate to the website of the institution you wish to apply to and ensure you apply for the DSCE application form. Fill in all the academic and other necessary information as correctly as possible.
3. Uploading Documents: Upload documents like 10th & 12th mark sheets, photos and signatures etc. again and again as per the size specified by the system.
4. Application Fee Payment: To submit the application fee, the candidate is required to make the payment through an online payment gateway. Save the payment receipt.
5. Review and Submit: Before the final submission of the BE admission application, take time to go through the entire application again. The final submission cannot be altered after submitting a response to the case study.
6. Download Confirmation: For future references, save the confirmation page provided after form completion is successful.
1. Candidate’s performance in the Karnataka PGCET/CMAT/CAT/MAT/GMAT entrance test which is held for admission. This usually carries a weightage of 50%
2. Graduation result of the candidate in their respective academic year. This is usually accorded a 25 percent weighting as a rule of thumb. It has marks/grades in key areas of study as well as other major subjects.
3. For work experience and if they have any achievement in their previous job, they are allocated 15% of their total score. Industry experience that is relevant to the job is considered desirable in this case.
4. Overall, results in personal interview and group discussion rounds conducted by DSCE. This is given 10% weightage and is an important aspect of the job because when employees go on vacation or are unavailable for work in any way, their duties must be covered. These rounds involve Communications Skills, Personality, and Aptitude testing of the candidate.
1. Check Eligibility- Ensure that you fulfill the requirements laid down by DSCE in regard to academic requirements entrance test scores’ work experience etc.
2. Fill Application Form- Fill the application form online or get a hard copy from the college’s admitting office. Complete it meticulously, putting as much detail as possible and all necessary documents, papers and information.
3. Pay Application Fees - It’s usually accompanied by an application fee that you pay online or through a Demand Draft. Ensure that the proof of payment is attached to the form.
4. Appear for Entrance Exam - Depending on your eligibility and your scores in the entrance test like KMAT, CAT, MAT and many more you have to write an entrance test done by the college itself.
5. Attend GD/PI Rounds- In the next step, if your name comes in the list then you have to go for Group Discussion and Personal Interview held by the concerned college authority. Thus, it makes sense to prepare well to clear them.
6. Check Merit List- At the end, there will be a list of merit which is prepared according to the overall performance of each candidate. Screen whether or not you have received a selection.
