Tripura University Directorate of Distance Education (TUDDE) is one of the premier institutes in the state of Tripura for distance learning programme which was established in the year 2001. It has received accreditation from the Distance Education Bureau, Government of India, and also holds an NAAC accreditation with B+ grade, which speaks volume of its academic credibility. According to the latest NIRF rankings 2023, Tripura University has been placed at 101 positions out of all the universities in India. Established in 1995, the DDE now provides admission to graduate, post graduate and diploma programs in a wide array of specializations including arts, science, commerce, computer applications, tourism and many others.
The DDE usually opens admission for the following year in May of the preceding year and thus the DDE invites all applicants for the 2024 admission cycle. Some of the courses that are especially provided through distance mode are: BA, BCom, MA in Education, Political Science, English, Tourism Management, MCA, PGDCA, etc. Examinations are conducted in the month of October November and May June. Admissions to the college are also determined on the basis of the marks obtained in the qualifying examination. The application procedure is online, where the prospectus and the application form can be filled up online or collected from the centers specified for this purpose. He has to meet certain requirements which are the documents, fee payment and eligibility in making application.
