Holy Cross College is a self-financing, self-sustained, autonomous college, which is situated in Coimbatore and is affiliated to Bharathiar University. The college started in 1955 by the fathers of the Congregation of Holy Cross and has been recognized by the UGC under 2f and 12B and has also received the NAAC accreditation with an ‘A’ grade . Holy Cross College has been ranked No.32 according to the NIRF rankings which have just been announced for the year 2023 for the category of colleges in India.
There are more than 20 undergraduate, post-graduate and research courses that are taught by the college which range from computing to commerce, economics, English literature, mathematics, physics, chemistry, zoology, history, and Tamil and social work. Master’s Degree courses are available in Computer Science, Commerce, Economics, English literature and the Mathematics. The admission process for the 2024 academic intake will start in May 2023. The interested candidates can purchase the application form from the college’s website. The entrance examination shall be held in June 2023 and remarks released in July 2023. The first class for both levels is set to begin from 3rd week of July 2024.
