MIET in Meerut is one of the best engineering colleges in UP which offers various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in engineering and technology in its various departments. The Computer Science and Engineering department provides B.Tech in computer science and engineering with the following prerequisite the pass in 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and mathematics as optional subjects. Recognized standardized tests are JEE Main, UPSEE and MIETEE. The B.Tech course in Electrical and Electronics Engineering is offered by Electrical and Electronics Engineering department and admission to this course is done directly based on 10+2 pass in PCM group through JEE main, gate and upsee exam. Other departments like Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering also offer B.Tech and have their admission criteria as JEE Main score, UPSEE score.
The institute offers B.Tech degree programmes to the students across all departments that includes computer science and engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electronics and communication engineering and so on. The examinations that are most common for admission into the 2024 batch includes - JEE Main Examination conducted in the month of January and April 2023, UPSEE Examination conducted in the last week of April 2023, MIETEE Examination conducted in the last week of May 2023. The examinations are sat in June, July, and August of the year 2023 and accordingly counselling is done where students with the requisite scores apply and get admitted. 1. JEE Main Rank - Applicant will be offered admission based on their JEE Main rank this being an entrance examination for engineering courses across the country.
2. 12th Standard Percentage – It is necessary that candidates will provide their 12th standard board examination result percentage to be considered for selection. Those obtaining higher percentages will be preferred among competitors.
3. Written test score – These are scores obtained by the student in an exam that the institute administers and uses to determine the suitability of the candidate. This shall mean that any candidate with a raw score to that of the cutoff or above shall be considered.
4. School Performance – This will include the percentage of marks obtained in 10th and 12th standard, position in school, merit etc to assess the academic capability and hard work of a candidate.
5. Other accomplishments – Co-curricular achievements as talents such as sports, culture, volunteering, etc can support the academic performance of applicants during admission.

6. Scanned photograph, signature, other necessary documents, and educational certificates etc., according to the size and resolution mentioned need to be uploaded.
7. Complete the application fee payment by Net Banking/Debit Card Credit card.
8. Application form with the application number contains a link to the completed application form, which can be download and print for future use.
9. Use the application number to track the application status; that will inform the client of the outcome. If you are chosen, please download the admission letter, and remit the admission fee.
10. Check on the admission letter for the reporting date to the college and other relevant documents to produce and confirm the admission.
