The main fields and programs of VIT Pune comprise of BTech –Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering etc., MTech, BArch, MArch, BDesign, MDes, MBA, MCA and Ph.D. The entrance exams dates regarding admission 2024 are JEE Mains will be conducted in the month of January 2024, MH CET in the month of May 2024, NATA during the April-May 2024, CAT/CMAT for management courses will be held in the month of November-December, 2023. The admission process for the mentioned institute comprises of the following steps: – Passing the relevant entrance exams, registration at the institute’s website during the application period, uploading the relevant documents, fees payment, and selection of program depending on the merit list provided by the VIT. Till now the management has not announced the exact date regarding the start of the new academic session for the year 2024 for all streams but it is expected that the classes may start in the 3rd week of August 2024.
- Admissions are strictly through online mode on the official website of VIT. Currently, there is no application process that can be done physically at any of the offices of the organization.
- For application, visit the VIT Pune admissions page and on the homepage, scroll down to the bottom to find the link to “Apply Now”. It will take you to a page where you will have to register for an account in order to access the application form.
- The other parts of the application form include the personal information part, the academic information part, the selection of programs part and so on. Make sure to fill in all the mandatory sections of the application form correctly.
- You will be required to scan your documents including photograph, signature, class 10 and 12 mark sheets and other relevant documents as per the guidelines provided.
- Apart from the above-mentioned compulsory examinations, an application fee has to be paid online through credit/debit card, net banking etc. The information on the amount of the application fee would be available on the VIT website.
- After that, complete the form and pay for the application and get the acknowledgment number for the application you have submitted. It is necessary to print the last page with the entire confirming information.
- As per the criteria mentioned above, the candidates who make the cut will be invited to sit for the VITMEE entrance examination. Pattern, syllabus, exam dates etc. is given in the website section for students’ benefit.
Process for filling up of Admission Form online Read the instructions carefully before filling up the form:
- They offer admitted bases on their VIT Engineering Entrance Exam (VITEEE) ranks. The candidates have no option than to sit for VITEEE exam which is set by VIT.
- However, there are also other entrances that are considered to be providing admissions by considering the scores of 12th board exams too. There shall always be a specific percentage of the total number of seats in the institution that is reserved for students to be admitted based on their performance in their 12th standard examinations.
- For admissions based on 12th marks, the merit list is prepared based on the aggregate of PCM/PCB % of the qualifying exams.
- Candidates qualified for counseling are those who have scored high ranking on VITEEE and those who have performed well in the 12th standard exams and the students are given an option to choose the branch and the campus of their choice. Actually, after that, the process of seat allocation depends on the rank secured in VITEEE, marks obtained in 12th standard, category, choices made and number of seats.
- VIT follows several rounds of counseling for the admissions. The availability of seats, the branch and campus that the candidate gets alloted depends on his/her rank/marks and the counseling process of the particular round.
1. Registration: VIT offers online admission, so navigate to the VIT admission website and follow these steps: Each applicant will be issued with an application number which is unique.
2. Fill Application Form: You can create an account with the portal and submit your application through the online form. Enter all the personal, academic and contact information to fill all the required fields properly.
3. Upload Documents: Upload photograph, signature, the mark sheets of class 10, class 12, and JEE Main score card etc as per the given specifications.
4. Application Fee Payment: Application fee is to be paid through the payment gateway. Application fee for VIT Pune is Rs. 1200 for the course and Rs. 500 for B.Arch.
5. Print Application: Complete and sign the application, and have the final copy ready for submission. Ensure that you have attached any documents that may be needed for the particular case and keep a copy for your records.
6. Entrance Exam: Sit the VITEEE entrance examination that is administered by VIT University at various examination venues.
7. Counselling: Counselling round- If qualified attend the counselling round as per the scheduled date. The last admission list is planned to be released considering the ranks obtained by the candidates in VITEEE, number of seats, the norms of reservation, etc.
8. Admission Confirmation: If you wish to confirm your admission for B.Tech at VIT Pune, it is required that you pay and submit the admission/semester fees according to the admission letter within the stipulated time.
1. The admission process in VIT can be through VITEEE ranks or the candidate’s performance in Class 12 exams. For General Students: Physics, Chemistry, Maths with minimum 60% aggregate in Class 12th.
2. To be eligible for admission through VITEEE rank, candidates should have a valid VITEEE rank and a pass in Class 12 or its equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/ Bio-Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Engineering Science/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects.
3. For Class 12 score basis of admission then percentage scored in Physics, Chemistry and Maths subjects which is successfully added with Class 12 percentage.
4. It is to be noted that facilities for reservation as per government norms are available. Categories include OC/BC/MBC/SC/ST.
5. Candidates belonging to NRI/PIO/Foreign nationalities/International students have special procedure depending on the SAT scores.
