DY Patil University Pune offer multiple courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in engineering, medical, dental, management, law, etc., but the eligibility criteria differ from department to department. For engineering, it is necessary to complete 12th or its equivalent exam in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with 50% aggregate marks as the minimum requirement. The accepted national level examination are Maharashtra Common Admission Test, Joint Entrance Examination- Main, Maharashtra Common Entrance Test. For BBA/MBA, candidate can apply from any discipline who have secured minimum 50% marks. The accepted exams are CMAT, CAT, XAT, MAT. Candidates in the medical and dental courses should have passed 12th standard with physics chemistry and biology (PCB) with a minimum 50% marks. There are prerequisites for passing the NEET exam scores. This is why the Law programs takes any degree holder irrespective of the discipline they have graduated with and with minimum 45-50% aggregate marks depending on the course. CLAT and LSAT are the scores taken into consideration.

JEE Main scores are accepted for admission to the School of Engineering to BTech in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics & Telecommunication, etc The admission to BTech Biotechnology requires NEET scores. For BBA, candidates are required to appear and pass the CET/CAT/XAT/CMAT/ MAH-CET examinations for BBA degree programs. Whereas, the BDes program accepts the scores of NATA exam, BPharm accepts MAH-CET/CET scores.
