The Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT), University Noida is a recognized university in engineering and technology domain that offers under graduate and post graduate programs in diversified fields. The important branches at JIIT Noida are Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Biotechnology Engineering, Civil & Mechanical Engineering etc.
Eligibility differs from department to department – for engineering courses like CSE, ECE, ME and such, the candidate is expected to have passed class 12th with at least 60% aggregate marks (55% for SC/ST) in PCM/PCB as one of the options. For the B.Tech programs, the applicant must have a rank in the JEE Main and for the biotechnology course, an applicant must have secured a rank in GUJCET. For M.Tech, only the candidates who have passed GATE exam shall be considered. Very few departments also look at JEE Advanced Rank or even accept other national/state level entrance tests such as UPSEE, JEECUP. Computer Science and Engineering is one of the popular departments of the college which provides B.Tech in CSE, IT, M.Tech in CS, IT, and CSE (AI & ML) admission for which it accepts the score of JEE Main or UPSEE for the undergraduate course and GATE score for postgraduate course.
The university has a vast number of undergraduate, postgraduate, integrated dual degree programs in all the disciplines of science, engineering technology and management along with doctorate research programs. It is worth noting that the admission process for the 2024 academic year will begin in January 2023. All programs require passing of National/ State level entrance tests like JEE Main, GATE, CAT etc and then counseling for seat allotment. The tentative dates for entrance tests are as follows, but these will be released by the specific exam conducting agencies, however, JEE Main 2024 first attempt will be conducted in January 2023- GATE/CAT 2024: The exams are generally held between January-February every year. The admission process include the qualifying examination, the counseling registration, choice filling, seat allotment, documents verification, and the payment of fees.

For online application, Jiit has a website www.jiit.ac.in, go to the admission option on its homepage. Choose the programme of your interest and then follow the instructions on online application as provided in the form. Submit the scanned copies of the required documents, make the payment of the application fee and send the form.
For the offline mode of application, forms are available from the university admission office once the fee is paid in respect of the prospectus. - Requirements for entry - Usually, the candidates should be ‘A’ level holders in science stream and meets the desired pass marks in the subjects of physics, chemistry and math.
- Admission – Usually, admissions are done on the basis of marks scored in national/ state level entrance tests like JEE Mains, UPSEE, etc As for the merit list preparation, the institute uses marks of the candidate in entrance tests. It is also used sometimes in direct admission processes whereby students are admitted based on their performance in the 12th board exams.
- Time taken to complete the programme – B.Sc. Programs are in general 3-year full-time courses and they offer both graduate and postgraduate education.
- Costs – Tuition and hostel fees are not constant but may differ depending on the program. Other expenses include fee for the application, deposit in case there is caution etc.
- Registration for the B.Sc. The admission criteria for various programs at JIIT is Tuition Fees, Mode of Study, Exam Required Based on Merit in the Qualifying examination. Essential qualification for the post is that the candidate must have passed 10 + 2 or its equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as subjects.
- Along with passing the 12th standard exam, the candidate has to appear for the JEE Main examination and the JIIT Aptitude Test (JAT) to be admitted into the B.Sc programs. After that, the shortlisted candidates are called for counseling and the seats are assigned as per the following factors: JEE Main + JAT ranks, choices, quota, and seat availability.
- BESIDES JEE MAIN +JAT SCORES XII STANDARD MARKS ARE ALSO CONSIDERED FOR DRAWING MERIT. Minimum 60% (minimum 55% for SC/ST) marks in the qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as subjects in the XII standard.
- However some B.Sc programs like Biotechnology have extra requirements like performance in any national/state level Biotechnology entrance exams. Courses like Economics take into their performance Commerce/Humanities stream subject in XII standard.
- For the Design, Fashion, Film/TV and Journalism, there are special screenings and interviews done. Portfolio submission and evaluation is also considered as part of the selection process on candidates.
1. Before applying for B.Sc. course it is necessary to check the eligibility criteria for the course. of a job title or the specific program you wish to apply for. These are mostly with respect to the qualifying exams, subjects and percentage.
2. Obtain the application form and the prospectus either by downloading it online from the JIIT’s admission site or by obtaining it from the university. Application forms are normally produced in the months of April or May.
3. Complete the application form, in detail and enclose some documents such as 10th and 12th standard marks sheets, school certificates, photos etc., Ensure that the application form is fully filled.
4. In addition to the online application and DD fees, there are application fees that are payable online or through a DD. Fees for JIIT B.Sc. fees in most of these programs is normally within the region of Rs 1,000 to 1,500.
5. The application form and other documents should be submitted before the specified date and time. This is usually in the month of June whereby the golf carts, fairway, greens, and other related equipment are maintained appropriately before the beginning of the summer season. Applications can be done online or is done personally/through mail.
6. Take the JIIT entrance test that is called the JIIT Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) in accordance with the admit card date. It only has three sections which are physics, chemistry and maths.
