Netaji Subhas Open University, Kolkata offers various undergraduate and postgraduate under its stream of arts, science, commerce, education, engineering, journalism & mass communication, library science social work management and studies. As previously discussed, anyone who has passed 10+2 in any stream can apply for an undergraduate arts course. For BCom the eligibility is also 10+2 but the student should have Mathematics as one of the subjects of study. BLibSc comes under the category of the post graduate course which requires a graduate in any discipline. Postgraduate Diploma in Social Work can be pursued by the candidate having a Bachelor’s degree. Engineering courses admit candidates who possessed a diploma holder in the respective branch of engineering. This means that the Masters of Social Work and Library Science programs are open to any graduate from any other field. BA, MA education courses admit students who passed 10+2 and graduates with a teacher training diploma respectively. About the MA Journalism & Mass Communication, the basic eligibilities include a graduate degree and knowledge of English and GK. The MBA courses require the candidate to have a bachelor ’s degree in any field with not less than 50% marks. Other criteria may include GMAT scores as well.
Netaji Subhas Open University (NSOU) located in Kolkata is a fully recognized university which provides admissions for various Under graduate, Post graduate, Diploma and Certificate courses through distance mode. NSOU offers admission for students either online or offline.
To apply online, the candidates have to visit the official website of NSOU, which is nsou.ac.in, and ‘online admission’. Choose your preferred course, apply for admission and scan and attach relevant documents. So, finally, make the application fees payments online to finish the round of application.

The Bachelor of Arts is awarded for subjects such as Bengali, English, history, political science, sociology. Many a times, the prescribed eligibility for most of the BA courses is to pass the higher secondary examination or any other equivalent examination in the desired subjects.
