Presidency University is a private university established in 2013 as a successor of Presidency College. Established in 1840, it is one of the oldest and the most reputed educational institution in India with very high standards of education. The university has received its permission from the University Grants Commission (UGC) and it has been accredited with an ‘A’ grade from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with a cumulative grade point average of 3.31 out of 4. According to NIRF India Rankings 2023 it occupies the 32nd position out of all institutions in India.
