Dayananda Sagar Institutions (DSI) located at Bangalore, Karnataka comprises several colleges providing Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs for a wide range of fields like Engineering, Management, Architecture, and Interior Design, Arts & Science, Hotel Management & Computer Application, Law, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, and many more. The eligibility for the students is different for every department For the B.Tech programs such as computer science, information science, electronics, mechanical, civil, students should have passed their 12th standard exams with physics, chemistry & math as the subjects with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate. Any candidate applying for Architecture program for admission needs to produce a valid NATA score and at least 50% marks in their 12th standard. For BBA and MBA, the candidate should secure an average of 50% marks in 12th Standard and graduation. Kcet, comedk nata, mat, cat etc are acceptable and compulsory tests.
The exams that occur in a large scale are - KCET is conducted in June 2023, COMEDK in May 2023, NATA has four attempts in a year namely February, May, August and November 2023. For admission in DSI colleges for the academic year 2024, the students have to first clear a relevant entrance exam, then they can directly apply or participate in the University counselling based on the ranking and scores. The selection will be on the basis of the entrance test, percentage of 12th, and the performance in the interview of the college rounds. Admission process begins soon after the announcement of CBSE class Twelve result of the session. Students are encouraged to consult the college websites for providing detailed admission process, dates for their specific studies and should apply within the stipulated dates for their programs of interest. The academic session starts in the month of August of the particular year.
For online application, one has to visit the official website of the university that is www.dsibangalore.edu.in and the application form will be found under the option ‘Admissions’. Choose the preferred course and follow the guidelines in completing the online application form that is provided appropriately. Upload scanned images of photograph and signature and scanned copies of documents as proof of service, educational qualification, etc. as per the dimensions and format prescribed. Complete the required application fee online through the online payment gateway or using credit/debit card/ net banking/ UPI.
To apply offline, please visit the administrative block of the university and pick a form. Kindly ensure you complete the form and enclose certified copies of the documents. After submitting the application form with the DD for the application fees, the form should be sent to the administrative office before the date provided. 1. NATA Score – Possessing a valid score from the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is mandatory. This is a national level test for admission to the B.Arch courses The above details show that it is a test taken at national level for the purpose of admitting students to under graduate architectural programs.
2. Board Exam – Performance from the 12th board examination especially in subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are considered. Minimum aggregate marks may be needed to have; this may vary.
3. Portfolio – This is a list of creative works which the applicants have to present to the program which may include sketches, drawings, paintings, etc.
4. Interview – The most important part is that only the shortlisted candidates are interviewed for the post and the various aspects like creativity, problem solving, general awareness etc. are tested.
5. Lateral Entry – Any student who has passed the diploma in the 3-year diploma course in architecture is also allowed to apply for direct second-year admission, depending on his or her diploma percentage.

3. This involves the filing of an online application form and uploading the scanned copies of the documents such as the 10th and 12th standard mark statements, NATA score card etc as required.
4. Another option is to make the payment of the application fee itself through the internet. Whether this fee is paid in full or in installment, the fee amount and mode of payment must be stated on the portal.
5. Print out a copy of the form once you are done with the submission for future use. The applicant should check the portal frequently to see the status of the application they may have applied for.
6. If, after the completion of the admission process, you are successful, you will be contacted to attend the counseling rounds to finalize your admission. This is the time when your documents and eligibility will be checked by the representatives of the program.
7. Finally, accept the offer by paying the full fees within a set date that will be communicated to you to ensure that you take up the available space.
