The Future Institute awards Bachelor of Technology degrees in a range of fields, including Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Mechanical and Civil Engineering. It also provides MBA and MCA in specializations like finance, marketing, human resource, etc MBA and MCA admissions will begin in Jan 2024 based on the scores of GATE 2023 examination conducted in July 2023 M.Tech Important examination for admission to 2024 batch for all programs are WBJEE plan to be held in April 2023 JEE Main January and April 2023 session and GATE There are certain steps followed for admission of the candidates to the universities and they include the registration, appearing for the relevant entrance examination, counselling session as per the schedule of West Bengal Joint Entrance exams board, choice exercise and finally the allotment of seats. - Besides, based on written test performance in WBJEE, candidates may also have to meet minimum requirements of FIEM Kolkata as minimum 50% marks in 10+2 board exams. Sometimes there may be some exemptions for the reserved category also.
- In case of the absence of students in the allotted seats, FIEM can opt for second round counseling or filling up the seats through JEE Main ranks. There could also be direct B.Tech admissions based on 10+2 marks which signal that the institution values educational attainments.
1. Check Eligibility-Make sure you have the necessary qualifications as stipulated by the FIEM Kolkata in their admission requirements for the B.Tech program. This more often than not has to do with age, performance on academic programs, entrance exam results etc.
2. Fill the Application Form -FIEM Kolkata uploads B.Tech application forms on its website for those interested in applying for the program. All entries essential for completion of the form must be filled in correctly and the form together with any attachments that may be necessary, must be completed and submitted before the due date.
3. Pay Application Fees-There is commonly a payment intended for the application fee that has to be made to submit the form. This is done online by net banking, credit/debit cards, UPI or other similar modes as mentioned above.
4. Appear for Counseling-From your application, you may be selected to attend counseling rounds as part of the admission procedures. These should be attended as per the time table and procedure provided by the institution – FIEM Kolkata. This usually comprises of document validation and in some occasions other tests.
5. Complete Admission Formalities-If chosen in the counseling rounds, fill all admission procedures and requirements as stated in the offer letter before the given dates. This includes paying admission fees, filling of undertakings etc as a way of affirming your B.Tech admission at FIEM Kolkata.
- The students seeking admission in the B.Tech programme of the FIEM, Kolkata can join the college after qualifying the WBJEE (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination). The candidates need to secure the WBJEE with specific cut-off marks as a requirement in their selection process.
- In the case of admission, 85% weightage is attached to WBJEE rank and 15% weightage is given to the marks secured in the class XII board examination in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
- The candidates who have applied under general category are required to obtain 17% marks in PCM subjects in 12th boards. The minimum percentage of marks prescribed for reserved category students in PCM is 15%.
- Also, students hailing from other state can apply through JEE Main ranks too for the medical programs. Here also marks obtained in JEE Main have been given 50% weightage while 50% weightage to the marks obtained in class XII PCM. Other general minimum aggregate PCM criterias stay unchanged.
- The last one after preparation of above said merit list is the counseling sessions for the seat and document verification for the final admission.

3. To Create an Account the basic personal information such as Name, Email ID, Mobile number etc. is needed.
4. Go to the official website of the university and enter your login details, navigate the online application form and fill it in with all the required information.
5. Scan your passport size photograph, signature, and other documents if required and upload the same.
6. Pay via the web using various payment gateway options on the application fee payment.
7. The application form should be downloaded and then printed once the user is done with the entries.
8. Duly filled in and signed application form and all the required xerox copies of certificates and mark-sheets etc. should be sent by the candidate through speed/registered post to the college before the last date.
9. It is also advised to frequently visit the admission portal of the preferred college or university to check the application status and other procedures.
10. Candidates whose names have appeared in the list will be interviewed, together with other admission tests at the college compound. Turn up for the same as may be arranged.
