MVJ College of Engineering (MVJCE) is an undergraduate engineering college located in Bangalore, Karnataka, India and offers engineering programs in various fields. It has a BTech in Computer Science and the students must provide KCET/ COMEDK/ JEE Main scores to get admitted into the course. The eligibility is to pass 12th grade with Physics, Chemistry, and Maths with at least 45 % aggregate. The department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering provides the B.Tech degree course in Electrical & Electronics Engineering through KCET and JEE Main. They should have completed their 12th grade with Physics, Chemistry, Maths as passing subjects and must have a minimum of 50% marks. Civil Engineering offers BTech in Civil Engineering and the admission is based on KCET, JEE Main, COMEDK UGET. Any candidate applying for the program should have completed their 12th standard examination and must have secured above 50% average marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

The major entrace exams recognized are the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET), the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Under Graduate Colleges Common Entrance Examination (COMEDK UGET) and the Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main). As for the KCET 2024 examination schedule, the authorities have not released it to the public yet, while COMEDK UGET 2024 is believed to take place in May 2024. 1. CET rank- candidates with higher ranks get better chance for admission. Up to a rank of approximately 20000, students can secure admission based on the category they fall in.
2. Marks in class 12 (PCM) At least 45% in each of the three subjects of physics, chemistry and mathematics is mandatory. Among the candidates having CET rank within this range, the higher PCM percentage score will be given priority.
3. Category – Reservation as per the government of Karnataka rules. SC/ST – 50 percent, OBC – 27 percent seats reserved with a discount on the eligibility criteria.
4. Other relevant scores – Apart from CET, if the applicant has scored in JEE Main, COMEDK and any other entrance tests, they may be considered. This means that good scores are essential in improving ones chances.
5. Class 10 and 11 percentage and scores may also be considered in the selection process, although in most instances, they may be given minimal or little consideration. Higher scorers preferred.

2. Eligibility: To qualify for admission you must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics as optional subjects. You should have minimum 45% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST category) for getting admissions in any of these programmes.
3. Entrance Exams: For admissions into the BE programs, a valid score in entrance test such as KCET (Karnataka CET) or COMEDK is mandatory. The college uses these scores for admission processes.
4. Application Fee: The online application fee is Rs 500.The candidates who belong to SC/ST/OBC/PWD category are exempted from paying this fee. This can be done through the payment methods shown in the application form of online modes of payment.
5. Documents Required: Few of the documents necessary for applying are – 10th and 12th mark sheets & photo copies of the mark sheet of the entrance test conducted, transfer certificate, caste certificate if required, and passport size photographs.
6. Selection Process: Depending on the stream and subject wise entrance exam marks, application particulars and the number of seats available, some of the candidates will be admitted through counselling process.
- The students are admitted to M.Tech programs depending on their performance in the entrance tests – GATE/PGCET or any university/institute level test. A candidate must have passed one of these examinations to be considered for employment.
For the candidates who have qualified the GATE examination previous years GATE score and marks in the qualifying examination i.e. BE/BTech are considered. It also important to note that pass or cut-off scores may differ from one year to another due to different factors.
The ranks secured in the PGCET exam for PGCET qualified category candidates are taken into consideration in addition to the performance in the qualifying exam.
- Apart from the entrance exam scores, there are certain requirements that are laid down for the M.Tech stream that the candidate is applying under. This includes having completed a BE/BTech or its equivalent in the field of study relevant to the specialization offered at the university.
